Mini Series Poll: Name of Boba Fett's Ship

Personally, I think there should have been a Tusken flashback which would have inspired a new name for his ship. Slave I doesn't really reflect Boba as a person anymore, and Firespray is just a generic term.

 

I choose the firespray, same reason given in the other thread. I don’t really care which.

 

This issue would be relevant if the ship were part of a fleet, and thus the distinction with respect to other ships would be practical. Here, in most of the situations, he'll just say "the ship" and there will be no ambiguity about what he's referring to, because his ship is the only one around.

"Slave" also means to work excessively hard!. This could have been bent to reflect Boba's work ethic in the OT, instead of the offense appeasing route... Then again, having thought about it a bit more, the alternative meaning is probably derived from the original expectation of the poor individuals. Hmmm

Look, I just like the name because it's what i've always known it as - Nothing more/nothing less.

I chose Slave 1 purely for the fact that there’s no reason to rename it… in truth, I don’t really care.

Unfortunately it’s the name of Hunter S. Thompson’s ship, so it’s off limits.

Just to clarify, there was at least one other ship in the hangar (Boba overturns it while flying the Firespray around). Seemed to be a skiff.

Do you honestly, hand on your heart, think that there was a chance Fennec Shand might think Boba's ship is a skiff? Or that she didn't know what ship he has? Or that it even matters? I mean ok, maybe to you that line and the delivery wasn't clumsy, but when I heard "my firespray gunship" I laughed out loud with how ridiculous that sounded. And I hope you understand how it could be perceived as ridiculous by others, even if you didn't mind it.
