Yea you are technically correct, as it was always a firesprey gunship, but you get what I mean

 

No, I don’t. In the show, it made sense for Boba to describe the make and model of the ship to Fennec, not say the personal name he gave it. And how any of this has to do with “marketing,” whatever that means, is beyond me…

Slave 1

Boba never had any issues with slavery before, so why should he care. Plus his dad named the ship, so I don't think Boba would rename it out of respect for his dad.

 

The name Slave-1 doesn't even make sense. Boba Fett was a bounty hunter, not a slaver.

 

He tried Minimum Wage 1 but it didn't sound as nice

 

Perhaps he named his ship Slave 1 as a statement about how Warner Bros. controlled both his name and his music via his recording contract.

 

A bounty hunter who worked for people we know 100% had slaves. I'm neither here-nor-there on the name one way or another, but let's not do this "OT Boba was above working in the slave industry" thing. There's jack-all supporting that. He worked for guys that did it, chances are he'd be one of the people assigned to hunt them down if they happened to escape.

 

Boba has clearly changed since then. Have you been watching this show? I once thought Santa Claus was real and now I don’t. Have I ruined my character!!!??

Also, the name of the ship hasn’t been changed.

 

The ship was named by his father.

Yeah, he changed to want to be a crime lord now. Crime lords in general kill, extort, torture, enslave, trade living beings, deal drugs and lots of other nasty things.

And if it hasn't been changed, there should be no issues with saying and using it in official material.

 

Was Jango a slaver? Slave-1 is such a silly, childish name. It sounds like something a junior high school student would think up.

 

Maybe Jango named it while he was a junior high school student.

We don't really know what Jango was doing prior to AOTC in this continuity.
