I liked the old colors, but these are quite nice.

Love the blue, but I find the text background here a little glaring.

What Obi-Zahn said--"Make it so when you have looked at the thread it is NOT underlined!" Also, it's still hard to see a difference between pages you have visited and not visited.

    Other than that, it's great.

I found reason #2 to get rid of the background on the names. When they end up on a posting screen or the users online section they look highlighted so we are back to the whole everyone is a mod thing.

I say go back to the black.

    This scheme rocks!

I agree, the background on the names threw me off a bit, at first. But, it really doesn't take any time at all to get used to it, once you realize what it is. There is still the obvious difference in the mod names.

Most people don't set their screen brightness at 100% and can't read black text on dk blue. What would be the point of having it if I can't readily see it without a stroke of the mouse?

Could the highlight behind the username in the login area be light gray instead? Or you could make the background on any conflicting pages (user profile, users online, etc.) the same shade as the current highlight.

I like this better than that bright as hell one you had before. Nothing beats red and grey though. Those colours have sentimental value to me(and about 8 people here no why [face_laugh] ).

I don't get the big deal. Why do you need to know who you're logged in as? Shouldn't you already?! And it's not that hard. If you're truly desperate to know what your name is, even though YOU chose it, either post or click on the button to the left of logoff.

Many users have aliases that they routinely switch through. Having a visible name is a way to help them know their current login state without posting unnecessarily or clicking the profile.

More importantly, why have a feature that can't be read quickly?

Obi-Zahn and Jeff 42, I have changed it so that viewed topics are not underlined, whereas new ones are. How is it?

I still need to change the color of visited topic page numbers, correct?

Apparently, you can't set it to change page number colors when they've been viewed. It seems that any visible changes to the "look" of already-viewed page numbers are actually applied by your individual web browser.

Curious. When I visit the Classics forum, there is no longer any grey highlight on my user name.

The new colors are okay, but I am not a big fan of grey. The text doesn't have very good contrast against the grey background. I think a light beige color would be better. (like it used to be on the boards a loooong time ago :) )

I liek. I logged in this morning and thought I had gone back in time. Very cool. :)

One thing: the orange of the page numbers in the index. Can it be made black?

Yes, it could. I could make it almost any color. Are ther any other users who think it should be changed?

Wait, which colors are we trying to change? The page numbers for threads or for the forums?

    Amazing.
