It's crazy. Either his gifs are gold or they are so awful and out of place that they end up being even more gold, in a Tommy Wiseau kind of way.

He is the absolute king of gifs.

 

In fairness to both of you, this (and Babylon 5, and some Simpsons) I'd wager I could generally find any GIF to use in an appropriate scenario... but I'd also rather force-in a not-perfect GIF than leave the response blank...

Yes, I've watched a good number of episodes of the first two seasons. Then for some reason I stopped for a while, but I was actually enjoying it quite a lot. I've watched roughly until CJ falls into the swimming poll.

I'll follow this thread more closely, since it resurrected.
Now I'll just drop few things that come to my mind:

-- my favorite moment is the very long take right after Bartlett makes a speech, the one in which Toby complains about the fact that he made some changes he didn't want. That whole sequence was brilliantly made.
-- I love the dynamics between Toby and the other writer, in which Toby keeps schooling him for his writing style.
-- my favorite characters are probably CJ and Toby
-- one of my favorite episode was the one in which they discuss about intervention. I think it was called "Measured response" or something similar. That was actually a great civic education lecture.
