Saga Post something positive about a SW film you're not fond of -

SOLO - Loved the mud troopers! Great design

 

Attack of the Clones:
- Night club on Coruscant
- Padmé's costumes
- Obi-Wan's converzation with Jocasta Nu
- Jango's seismic bombs
- Count Dooku

 

Vader's castle in Rogue One

For a locale with such a long development history, seeing it finally come to fruition (on Mustafar!) provided me with one of the biggest fangasms of my life.

 

Revenge of the sith - All droids from the PT should have been Magnaguards! At least they are believable as a threat

 

The humor in TROS is among the best in the franchise. Threepio in particular is on fire in that film, as is Poe. Just thinking about some of their lines/gags still cracks me up sometimes!

 

Even "They fly now?"

 

I came here to say exactly that!

Okay so here's another one: Donald Glover makes a great Lando in "Solo."

 

TFA - Snoke
TLJ - ......
TROS - Palpatine and Pryde.

 

R1: The last 10 minutes were epic

 

The Rise of the Skywalker :
When Rey turns Ben to the Light side and healing was the positive thing in the movie for me.

 

The positives with the PT - my three least favorite SW films:

The Phantom Menace - Darth Maul, the Pod Race, Qui Gon's character and Coruscant looks amazing. That's it.
Attack Of The Clones - General Grievous & seeing Slave 1 again. That's it!
Revenge Of The Sith - The opening scene. Ewan McGregor's performance (his best of the trilogy for me) and General Grievous again!

 

Wow you weren’t kidding when you said you don’t watch them. General Grievous ain’t in AOTC

I like parts of all the main SW films (never watched Solo though) but I have a lot of problems with TLJ.

So…
Loved when Kylo killed Snoke. And Rey describing the force as she is sensing it while “training” with Luke on Ach To. And the lightspeed ram. And Rey training with the saber on the cliff side.

 

The opening five minutes or so of The Rise of Skywalker show that you could make a really cool Star Wars horror film.

 

In and of itself, Luke's deed at the end of TLJ is a truly great example of what it means to be a Jedi.

 

TLJ: the scene where Snoke roasts Kylo Ren about how dumb his mask is. I appreciate it.

 

I think we all do. I just wish he'd kept going and started on his face. Darth Quiverlip indeed.

 

Rogue One - generic Imperial leader guy has a very nice windbreaker, fashionable and functional.

The Empire Strikes Back - adding windows to Cloud City in the SE made for some very nice background shots.

The Force Awakens - the ship graveyard was a great concept on paper.

 

TROS...
Kijimi is a really neat looking planet. Sinta Glacier is also super cool.

 

Threepio in TROS is the best Threepio stuff since Empire Strikes Back. "I know what we should do, we should leave!" Poe's snaps to him are gold too. "Maybe we can find something else like a helpful droid!"

 

Even though I was hoping that Rey had severed the connection between her and Kylo at the end of the movie, I liked the Forcetime lightsaber duels and thought they were a really cool application of this Force ability.

 

TROS is visually appealing as a movie.

Finn and Rey and Finn and Poe's dynamics in TFA were very engaging.

I would have liked Rose a lot in a different context.

 

I know this is supposed to be a sort of sanctuary but I gotta ask why you don’t like Empire Strikes Back. I find a fellow Star Wars fan not finding more to like in this movie than cgi windows utterly confounding.

 

ROTJ has the Darth Vader and Emperor scenes.

ATOC has Yoda vs Dooku lightsaber fight. Kenobi visit Kamino and Jango fights.

 

Actually I like it but I certainly don't consider the film to be some transcendent masterpiece, and as such I can sympathize with Star Wars fans who are ambivalent towards ESB.
