Hi. I'm having issues with receiving e-mail alerts. I've signed up to several threads to receive e-mail notifications when they're updated, but I'm not getting the e-mails. I've checked my Spam box as well. Is anyone else having issues?

 

Since yesterday, every time I post, I’m logged out. I always choose the strong password that I can’t remember.

 

I'm assuming you're on a PC. Try clearing your internet temp files and any cookies associated with this site (boards.theforce.net). If this doesn't help let us know what device you're on, browser, and operating system (i.e. Windows 10). Also, when you log in do you check the 'stay logged in' box?

 

The site has been a little sluggish for me yesterday and today, on multiple devices. Noticed anything on your end?

Yeah, I think a couple of the mods noted that. No errors in the server log though. Could be slowness at the host site.

 

Didn't see anything in the server log or on the host site's status page. (Normally if they have a problem with any of the servers there's a notification for that server).

 

I keep having issues with threads I have as "watched" not telling me about new posts.

Yeah, issues with the host. Funnily enough the problem notice was timestamped '11:38 UTC'.

 

Odd problem with the Out of Bounds discussion thread in the RPR: I posted something a few minutes ago. It appeared normally. Immediately, the thread list began showing the last post as being made by @Jedi Gunny with the same timestamp. No such post appears in the thread and the number of replies shown in the thread list matches the post number on my post (keeping in mind that the reply count excludes post #1), yet the thread is stuck on unread. Examination of the URL on the timestamp under Gunny's name on the thread list shows that the ID number of the linked post is exactly one after mine.

What in the Five Fire Rings of Fornax is going on?

Edit - nothing in the server error log. Short answer - I don't know. Something's gotten confused..

Got it. I posted a test post and Gunny's post showed up. I think this might be related to an end-of-page problem we had some time ago.

 

I seem to recall something like this happening a while ago as well. The prior post must have come in while I was editing my post, that’s all I can figure.

 

It seems that my watched threads are not showing up, but they are still watched.

I seem to be having a problem with a PM conversation

I tried to respond to the person and it said there was a server error, also it says on the tab there are zero participants, and I can't see anyone present on the screen where it shows participants?

Just did a fingertip search through a 12 page PM thread, and our one stops showing posts after page 7 as well.

Feels like a buffer set to only hold seven pages.
