What happened during the war that dark side corrupted Korriban? (according to this theory)

Speaking of which, if the Sith species can draw sustenence directly from the Dark Side, couldn't they have stayed on Korriban?

Can they draw sustenance from the daaaawk side of the force?

Especially since sustenance seems to be antithetical to the nature of the dark side?

Wookieepedia says they can, and Exar was attacked by 1000-year-old Tuk'ata.

Do Tuk'ata's even have a set life span? may be they can live a thousand years eating space rats.

Pulling sustenance from the force makes sense, like some monks are said to(and in fables have done so) draw sustenance from the chi of the cosmos. But such a thing is seen as the pinicale of the craft of being a warrior monk. Difficult to achieve for a human and no 'animal' short of being intrinsically bound to the universe and also ancient (Like a dragon) can do something similar.

Nothing so common as a magic dog, that basically is everywhere on korriban. Seems like a lore flub if you ask me.

Tuk'ata is a magic force dog. or a space dog. that is the position they have in "society", the sith keep them as pets, use them as guards, they are magic space dogs.

I agree that Tuk'ata = Star Wars attack dog, but what is the lore flub?

Not having the Tuk'ata have a stated life span, combined with the "Sustained by the power of the Daaaaawk sieeed" , allow for the possibility of a dog having the powers of a "Master of an art"

Thank you. I guess the Sith gave the Tuk'ata their powers. Anyway, the Adas theory raises the question of whether dead Rakata, dead Sith, or a combination of the two dark sided Korriban. And there's Wookieepedia's Dark Side sustenence claims...

The Ancient history of Korriban and the Red Sith are screaming "Explore me!"

I'm running with this explanation being the closest yet so far. Have any better explanations been put forward? Those Rakata seem to have let loose waves of devastation.

I've been torn between this explanation and Korriban being the body of Typhojem.

The existence of this thread shows how long I've been waiting for Supernatural Encounters.

If you go back to 2012-2013, the material was suggesting we might visit the era of King Adas in a comics series.

I like Pesegam being Typhojem's corpse and renamed Korriban.

Planets can collide sometimes. The corpse of one planet can become something new.
