I don't understand this. Why are we going from protesting to dying? Where is the fight?

Dying helps nobody but yourself. At some point you'll have to accept that you need to use that dreaded violence.

 

I know you think you sound noble here, but you don't. Laying aside and dying instead of fighting doesn't help your fellow comrades.

 

The scariest thing shouldn't be the dictatorship, it should be that a country that has flown the flag for democracy for so long would allow such a thing to happen.

Surely the Constitution was created to prevent that

I think they're starting with taupe, then working their way through the other colors.

 

The best thing we can do is get involved on the local and state level. States still have a lot of power over the federal government. And forming state compacts may end up being the endrun over a lot of federal attempts to interfere.

I for one would welcome our new overlords and want them to know I can be a big help in rounding my fellow humans for work in a post-minimum wage world.

You are already submitting to a form of government that uses violence. Or did you think your liberal democracy was founded on and continues to defend itself without violence?

 

But that doesn't change the fact that currently you live under a government that uses violence. You seem to be fine (not leaving or dying) about it. This seems to be only a problem when we're discussing using violence to defend leftist governments.

 

I think violent fantasies are weird on the part of the of the right, and I don't think fondly of it when left does it either. There are things that aren't worth doing. Killing people is one of them.
