London, ON Promotions thread

This thread is for posting any promotional ideas that you may have.

I have just sent an e-mail to Dan Brown of the London Free Press leting him know of all the stuff that we are doing.


Also I have a couple of meetings that I'm going to. If there is anyone that would like to come to them with me let me know. This way I am not the only one with all the contacts. Please keep in mind that no more that 2 people counting myself should go to a meeting.

 

I see on the Niagara board that yodascorch has anounced his second annual SW celabration. However he has it all wrong. He doing it on the long weekend and wants to charge admition.

So, as a reminder we start all our planning for our second annual celebration on Jan 01, 2008.

 

he better have a roller coaster or something there to get people.

 

I know, our concept is to keep it free.


Also, Dalesabers that person you were talking to from the states who wants to come to the "Were All Stars". Can you have them e-mail me at LondonRogues@aol.com or give me thier e-mail addresss.

 

I still think that getting the A-Channel early morning program (is it still called New Day?) to come out the day of would be a good idea.

Otherwise, there are a lot of stores that didn't get posters that would have liked them, such as City Lights.

 

I think the morning show doesn't come to stuff, out you have to go to them. The location stuff is Windsor is it not.

I haven't seen that show in years either I'm gone to work before it starts or I'm sleeping in.

 

Actually, I think it films from the Covent Garden Market, at 7 am.

Yes, it is live at the market, but parts of it are on location are from Windsor. They start at 7:00 am. but the crew gets there at 5:00. Stopping in before the show is a bad idea because they are on a time crunch to get thier jobs done before the start of the show. You would only make them angry with you then they wont listen to your request. ( Dalesabers, as a broadcasting student you should know that). It would be better to get them at 8:00 am. when they are done.

 

Yeah, I used to have breakfast there after work sometimes, and they're pretty busy until they are done and packed.

 

I never saw this.

Somewhere, on one of my hundreds of VHS tapes, I have a news clip about one of the Universities (UWO or UofWaterloo, I forget which) that built an X-wing for something. I wonder if I could find it again...

sorry can't do that, there's not enough time. Good idea though we do need to up date our business cards.

 

if we update the buisness cards we should put the rogues logo on it

 

I was talking with "Top Events Productions" and they want to do an interview with the group. They will either come out Sunday Jan 20 or Monday Jan 21. They also want us to do some work on a spanish tv show or something of that nature.

 

I hope they don't want us speaking Spanish then!

 

No idea. I think it's a hummor thing.

 

For those who were there last Sunday when we had those interviews.

The one with the TV show "Espectacular" will be on channel 13 this Sunday at 10:30 am.

 

Hi all - sorry to drop in suddenly on you - I've been checking out your stuff/site, etc. and wondering (I'm a photographer in Toronto) if any/all would be interested in a shoot sometime. ...trade really, and mostly for my portfolio, but I'm happy to give over high-rez files of everything good for you to use as you please. ..mostly I'm thinking of troopers to start with but I'm open to anything (I know this is not an empire board.
