Hi Celine - thanks so much for reading the poem and for your feedback. Much appreciated.

Yes - the "I am Ben" refrain was crucial, as the poem is very much about his struggle to stay Ben and KNOW that he IS all the things that Ben means. His Ben-ness is the one thing that Jacen can't torture out of him, and it's that stubborn aspect of "Ben" that saves him.
