The PT, ROTS imparticular, made Palpatine my favourite Star Wars character. I love the design of his office with it's antique Sith artefacts littered about. His remorseless manipulation of Anakin and the Galaxy is fun to watch as well. The man is truly evil, and he has taste.[face_devil]

My best film as well. The opening scene is my favourite movie scene of all time!
The unused animatics for this and AotC have always fascinated me as well, like these ones for various battles and Order 66 (which have finally been uploaded in a decent quality):

    And an extra from AotC...

We need a live action Clone Wars movie! [face_hypnotized]

It was a dream come true to see ROTS for the first time. The fall of the Jedi, Palpatine becoming Emperor and Anakin becoming Vader? Wow. That's an epic film. And for me it delivered.

By the way, I voted for Palpatine in the poll.

The worst film in the PT and the saga. Much prefer TPM and AOTC.

Padme's Ruminations is the single best scene in all Star Wars. And the rest of the movie is great as well, hitting some amazing action high notes while all the while bravely culminating the PT's exploration of human fragility. ROTS is not only worthy of being named the best Star Wars entry, but equals THX 1138 as Lucas's best work overall.

Yep, I agree with that being the best scene of the saga. I'd put 2 and 3 in ROTS, too. Palpatine and Anakin at the theater, and then the verbal battle between Obi-Wan and Anakin prior to their duel.

Favorite film of the saga for me, and it's not really close - Empire is #2, a ways back.

I remember going to the midnight release of RoTS with some friends of mine. It was a ton of fun.

I really enjoy RoTS. When I feel like watching a SW movie, it's generally the one I gravitate towards.

This! Sith isn't flawless (no movie is) but it's as perfectly paced, perfectly executed, and perfect as SW action, lightsaber battles and emotional character drama can be. Anyone can argue what it SHOULD'VE done but for what it does and what it is, it's pretty amazing. The crown jewel of SW as far as I'm concerned.

And like all SW movies, the main protagonist gets character development while side characters get less but even Obi-Wan and Padme, as much as her role is criticized, due get time to share their thoughts and feelings on matters and the events around them. That's more than I can say for other SW movies.

I've said this before but Revenge Of The Sith is truly a silent remake of THX 1138(and as Qui-Riv-Brid stated, a remake of ANH also).

THX is a suppressed being, who is unable to see the truths of the social structure during the beginning of the movie. If you look at it, you can see that Anakin is not only the same way but further falls into "societies" own rules and regulations(by that I mean the Council and/or his own mynd). LUH is no longer sexually and mentally repressed. She gathers all her strength, wits and feminine attractions to further reveal THX's true nature.

This might not be the exact same plot points, but it is incredibly similar to the narratives between Anakin/Padme.

ROTS is probably one of my favorite movies. It's got drama, action, a bit of comedy. ROTS has my favourite characterizations of Obi-Wan and Anakin. It's kind of a heavy, sad movie (hard to explain exactly) but that's why I like it.

ROTS is not only my favorite of the saga, but also my favorite film of all time. Everything I love about Star Wars in general can be seen in this episode.

There are just so many things I love about it, and it is a truly epic installment not only to complete a trilogy, but serving as a turning point in the saga.

It also features one of the best of the SW scores IMO.

Despite being the last Star Wars film to be released (and after such a long time, no less,) it's now synonymous with Star Wars to me personally more than any other entry. I feel it's really situated at the crux of both trilogies' stories, and I also feel it marks the epitome of the franchise's sense of ambition.
