    20 years, it's been (almost).

    May 19, 1999 brought the release of George Lucas' first chapter, and the Star Wars landscape was forever changed.

    Here in the PT forum, we will commemorate this anniversary in a few ways, but we'll start by hosting a banner contest! Here's how it will work:

    1) Any and everyone, no matter your skill level, is free to submit as many banners as you wish, by private message to me (heels1785), cubman987, and Seagoat.

    DO NOT post the banners in this thread.

    Banners should be around 1200 x 250 resolution.

    2) All submissions must be received by Tuesday, May 14th.

    3) The PT moderators will narrow the field to 3 choices, and public voting will begin on Wednesday, May 15th. Sock votes will not count.

    4) The winner will be announced on Sunday, May 19th (the actual 20 year anniversary), and the banner will reside atop this board through the summer months. Finalists will receive a special VIP title for the rest of May, and the winner will receive a VIP title and their choice of colors for the duration of the banner's run.

    Oh my, I'm flattered that you considered me Heels, but my talents are more limited to altering existing images, like sticking on hundreds of Santa Hats, than for creating new ones ;)

    I hope the rest of our fellow artists the best of luck in making their own creations though :)

    Alright, so a TPM themed banner, love the sound of that. Should it say something akin to happy 20th anniversary or do we get to decide that?

    We do have the entire day tomorrow to finish it, right?

    Cause i have a prototype banner, i accidentally used some low res models for my banner which i have to replace tomorrow. Shouldn't take long though.
