Queen of England in World War I

Hi everyone I'm an American. In US History we were learning about WWI yesterday. My teacher said your Queen stayed in the palace during the german bombings. What a brave women! This reminded me of how Queen Amidala wanted to stay with her people during the Naboo invasion.

 

Yes, well the monarchy are known for being a little mad... like Amidala

When you get onto WW II they might tell you about how the Queen Mother negotionated with the Nazi's... that's a little darker- like Anakin's fall

 

What utter crud they and the rest of their shower were holed up in some bunker somewhere for sure, or possibly hidden away in somwehere neutral such as Switzerland I believe!

Never believe the HYPE also known as PROPOGANDA!

Other peoples children / fathers etc sent to fight while their lot cowered in their bunkers!

REMEMBER this: History is only written by the winners and as such is bias!

 

My Nan quite clearly remembers the Royal Family playing croquet in the gardens of Hampton Palace whilst a combined German and French 500 Zeppelin bombing raid raged around them. The Queen suffered slight injury when a piece of shrapnel splintered her wooden false teeth. My Nan remembers watching it on the gramaphone like it was yesterday, bless her.
