Prairie Question for Manitobans

Anyone in Manitoba ever heard of a town called Winkler?

I live there.

 

I used to live in Morden, if that helps.

I'm a Saskatchewaner-er now, though.

 

My friends are moving to Winkler in not long.

 

I remember going to Winkler and seeing the "new" Star Wars Videos for sale in a grocery store. I think it was the '95 re-release with Vader, Yoda, and Stormtrooper half-faces. For some reason I remember seeing some with Chewbacca on them.

 

Rayson, what are their names? Maybe I'll meet them.

 

My wife's best freind is from a Mennonite community from somewhere near Winkler...I believe. I'm trying to convince her to let us move to Winnipeg too, to be near some good freinds and be in a better 'cost of living' area.

 

Move to Winkler instead, it's only about an hour away from Winnipeg, it's a small city, and there aren't any gangs.

My father is from Winkler... wondering if SW is getting anylarger there, if LAN parties are any indication... I know both the MSWG ( http://www.mswg.allyourbaseonline.com/forum/index.php ) and AYB ( http://www.allyourbaseonline.com ) would be interested in talking to Winkler-ites...
