Hey. I don't really know if this belongs here, but this seems to be the most appropriate place so I'll just post it here. Are there any SW linguists here? If so, can you help me with one problem I have with Huttese. I need someone to say 'thank you' in Huttese for my fan film, but I can't find a translation anywhere. Can anyone help me? Thanks.

I've often wondered if there are dictionaries like with Klingon.... Maybe Lucas will team up with authors and write some when he's done with the movies. ;)

All I know is that "Nal Hutta" means "Glorious Jewel"

The closest thing I have seen to a dictionary is the Star Wars Galactic Phrase Book & Travel Guide by Ben Burtt. It is copyrighted 2001 so it should still be around. And it does mention that Huttese has no equivalent for 'please' and 'thank you'.

What use does a Hutt have for the phrase "Thank you"? :p

If there's no 'thank you' in Huttese, is there any other SW languages that have a word for 'thank you' besides Ewok, Jawa, or Yuuzhan Vong?

Teeha is Ewok for thank you.

But dude, just use the phrase "Bargon u noa-a-uyat"-- that means "you will be rewarded" in Huttese. Close enough to a "please" or a "thank you". ;)
