R.I.P Christopher Lee

May the Force be with you.

 

I am saddened by the passing of Christopher Lee. His Legend will live on though.

I always thought that the Villain Role was criminally under appreciated by those who give out acting awards, like the Oscars etc. I mean, what could be more difficult to play than an Evil Character? When you consider that Christopher Lee was a true Gentleman in real life, it makes it that much more impressive that he was able to bring those Iconic Villains to life so believably well.

Christopher Lee was one of those individuals who actually earned the Title "Sir".

Indeed he did right beside his Peter. I happily call them 'the Sirs'. I think what makes Christopher and Peter so wonderful is that they go so far past such flimsy labels as 'hero' and 'villain' which are all too easily bandied about with little care and dare to convey something truly magnificent the essence of common *Humanity*. Artists and Storytellers such as they dare remind us to feel and not forget or shun this existence's many shades and angles.

 

I suppose I could just research this for myself, but does anyone here know: Was The Hobbit his last film credit??

RIP Sir Christopher Lee

 

Angels in Notting Hill was his last completed movie, The 11th was in pre-production when he died.

 

The world has lost a legend, in both acting and character. I've grown up with so many of his movies, this was really hard to take. From Sauruman and Dooku, to Dracula and everything else (his reading for Poe's "The Raven" was my favorite!). This was very sad to wake up to.

Rest in peace, Sir Christopher Lee, rest in peace.

 

Godspeed Christopher on your way to the light side of the Force.

 

Very sad news, he was a terrific actor and had some interesting music too.

That news took me by surprise. I realized he was in his 90s, but still . . . oh well, R.I.P. Mr. Lee.

 

I think we were all hoping he'd get to a hundred.

 

Still 93 is a decent age and he did live a full life

At least he is immortal in his films now.

 

RIP sir Christopher lee, legendary actor no one in the whole wide world can replace you as count dooku.

 

Favourite Lee line delivery in the PT: "I sense great fear in you Skywalker. You have hate, you have anger, but you don't use them."

I'm a big fan of his performance in "The Clone Wars" movie. Why? Because it's pretty much the only time we get to see him go full on Sith Lord. In AOTC he's held back until the end, his ROTS time is limited (but awesome) so in Clone Wars Lee gets to really lean into the evilness of Lord Tyranus.

 

What a life you lived. You will be missed.

93. That means he lived throughout almost the entire history of modern film. Truly a legend.

I was sorry to hear of this. He is not only my favorite actor, but one of my heroes as well. Rest in peace Sir Christopher.

 

RIP to an acting legend. So sad to hear of his passing.

 

Incredibly saddened by this news, I came across this a bit ago and initially thought it was a joke article... Can't believe he's gone. I grew up watching him in the prequels, some of my favorite all time movies, and definitely my favorite as a child. Also grew up and saw him in LOTR. You will be missed Lee.
