R2, where are you? [SPOILERS POSSIBLE]

Hello all. Long time reader, first time poster.

Could anyone tell me what is R2's status and whereabouts in the current EU-NJO timeline?

I'm reading this NJO book and he is barely mentioned in it, not even once. Heck, Ben Skywalker gets mentioned a lot more times and he isn't even in it.

I've missed something haven't I? If so, please spoil it for me!

Where is R2? He not dead is he?! First Chewie, then Anakin, and now R2?

 

He was with Luke for the most part, just doesn't get much mention.

 

I just wanna get a confirmation of him being alive and well, thats all.

And why would R2, the very droid on which the entire fate of the universe hinges, get not a lot of mention?

 

He's alive and well. All the way to the end.

 

Well 'cept of course the fact that the Vong want him dead and he and golden rod have to fcae a new prospect... obsolitness.

 

He and C-3P0 are still around and presumably doing fine. They are mentioned a lot throughout the series, actually, in passing. It just happens more in some books than in others.

 

its funny when you think about it, R2 is Lukes elder, he is possibly older then Luke's father lol, he is also older then 3P0

 

Actually Ghengis was somewhat right. He has been mostly absent but when he is mentioned he is often saving Han, Leia or Luke.

 

He saves 3PO from falling out of the falcon in EOV-R in on of the best bits in the NJO.

 

I think it was in the Allston books that R2 and 3PO have one of their most amusing rescues when saving Han and Leia.

 

Whew~I thought he was a goner there for a second. Nice to know that he's still around and hopefully will be for a long, longtime.
