TV Discussion Rangers of the New Republic

I would prefer this show to have nothing to do with the Mando cast and instead introduce completely new cast of characters, and focus on the New Republic.

I miss politics in my SW. I want to know what's going on in the Core. What's the situation on Coruscant. How does the new Senate works. What is the strength of the NR military...

If we get another show set on backwater planets in the Outer Rim dealing with Imperial remnants, I'll be little sad. I'll still watch it of course and I'll probably still enjoy it, but part of me will be sad.

 

Yah definitely core world's would be great but just the title implies frontier shenanigans

 

I think we’re going to get a lot of spy thriller-infused politics in Andor.

I’m sure it’s been posed (probably several times) at this point but I wonder if it’s a reference to the Je'daii Rangers? Could be a group of light side force users brought together in a more militaristic sense rather than religious. I’m a little out of the loop lately so forgive me if this has already been discussed/dispelled.

Andor will still be probably running around the Outer Rim, just the tone of the show will be different. I hope I'm wrong though and we'll actually see Coruscant or at least some more developed planets.

 

Why would he be spending all his time in the Outer Rim? He’s a spy whose job it is to disrupt the Empire. As indicated by Rogue One itself, too (visiting places like Eadu, the Ring of Kafrene, Wobani, etc), we’re likely to witness action on worlds closer to the core.

 

Sets and costumes of the sizzle reel would indicate action in the core worlds.

 

I hope this show can get into the politics post ROTJ.

 

That could be interesting. They would probably have to re-create the Senate.

 

Yeah like we have their sheriffs, just have some cameo sneate scenes to go easy with fans. Mon Mothma cameo and just give Leia a small appearance far away in senate pod.

 

That would be good. Perhaps they can make some mentions of other planets. Naboo, Courscant, Onderon etc?

 

Naboo has been getting some post ROTJ stories.
