    OK, add that six or seven minutes to one of the other two films then. :p But really, Bacon164 did a great job of explaining it. I didn't know the actual chapter breakdown since I haven't read the books.

    You have terrible taste, so we basically assume if you don't like it, it must be good.

    In the same way, if you like it - i.e. Hobbit films - it's demonstrably terrible.

    Well, I went back last night and rewatched some of TTT. It was better than I had remembered, so it may not have been totally fair to suggest that they could have basically skipped it. That said, my Middle-earth film ranking is definitely still as mentioned earlier:

    FOTR
    ROTK
    TTT
    TBOTFA
    TDOS
    AUJ

    The saga / circle is complete. As I've said in the Hobbit thread, I hope they stay true to the marketing for TBOTFA ("The Defining Chapter of the Middle-earth Saga", #OneLastTime, etc.) and leave it that way... no more Middle-earth movies, please.

    The poll results make me want to make a Star Wars one. I doubt even that would be so skewed toward one trilogy (even though it should be). Surely each of the PTs would get at least one vote.
