All I wanted was a joke of the day, and I ended up with 500 emails from Candy and her chearleader friends wanting to show me how they "do each others hair".

Yeah, those emails are way too annoying. For instance, I don't think that 18-year old babysitters leave the webcams on when they're alone LOL

Todays RANT:

Rick, he treats me like im 7!! I hate people liek that, just be cause im short and small, or as he says "small and helpless" doesnt mean im not an intellingent person who can look after herself!

 

ok, i'll start with my little rant. It's just to say that I know the Kim that stef's talking about and yes, she is annoying as hell. I can't believe I was ever like that (and I was!).

Ok, now I want to say something else that's not a rant. I want to laught at the grade 10's. HAHA. You have to write the literacy test and it actually counts! You NEED it to graduate, and we didn't! HAHA.
Sorry, had to get that off my chest. But seriously, good luck guys! I hope you all pass it!

It's no big deal. It takes 2 mornings to write and other than the fact that it's a complete waste of time, it's not too bad

My rant for the day is all the people who love to bring up or give me things I hate. ie, my mother saying "Good luck on the test today, and Happy Valentines Day" before I levae the door. Oh yeah, thanks mom.

Or when my sister went to Ottawa and brought me back a bag of chocolates! She knows I hate them, yet she insisted on giving them to me.

I guess due to the holiday I am being somewhat selfish and only thinking of myself today, which I am sorry for annoying you all with.

 

My rant for the day is about people who don't take care of their cats. Last nite as I was driving down Lake St. I came across 3 stray cats. They looked as though they had once been someone's pet, and well cared for....but now they were streetwise and vampish. One was a black longhaired, with a nasty disposition, that tried to scratch me when I put her in the car. There was a yellow longhaired that was very timid, and also a brown domestic shorthaired who seemed friendly enough. I couldn't just leave the poor things on the street....they looked so cold and hungry. Then I remembered we were near Graeme's house....so I decided to take them there. Now Graeme's Dad thought the kitties were pretty nice, and invited me in right away, I think he wanted to keep them. Nick heard the commotion and came running down the stairs. The kitties ran straight into the den where Graeme was sitting at the computer. The black cat hissed at Graeme and tried to bite him...while the other two cowered in the kitchen. Needless to say, Graeme did not pet the kitties or ask to keep them. When Bobby the dog started sniffing and growling at my little orphans...I knew it was time to leave. I have decided to keep the feisty black longhaired cat. The other two have found homes nearby. We'll try to clean them up and make nice pets of them!!!


*btw, the cats names are Eryn, Amanda, and Beth......and I'm telling you the truth....from a certain point of view!!! LOL *I'm dead*

Ahh... I'm an idiot.

You see, I didn't even read the entire post the first time. I just read you found 3 strays, and ran outside because I saw a sign for a missing cat on my way home from school. I posted the reply before I even considered reading Laurie's entire post. Oops!

 

Gee the black one sounds real ugly.... I wonder what her parents looked like...

 

My rant for today... new technologies in movies.

Ok, you're probably looking at me right now thinking "You? The guy who loves Final Fantasy: The Spirits Within because of the graphical achievments?" but it's true. I just watched The Phantom Menace again and something odd really struck me. Now this may be coming from a person who sees graphics all day and night, and I have an trained eye that can tell the difference from real and digital, but why do they use it in movies in places where it's not needed?

Take TPM for example. In the end, Darth Maul is slashed in half and his body splits as he falls into the pit. Now most people can tell his legs are totally fake. So why not just... say... throw some pants on a manican's legs and throw them down? It'd look much more realistic then doing it on the computer.

And even little things are becoming totally digital. Look at "The Haunting" or whatever it's called. Whenever it's "cold" and you can see the actor's breathes, it was drawn in with a computer. I found this a little obvious. Why not go the extra mile and do what The Exorcist did, actually film in a big freezer.

I'm just starting to think that all this digital technology is actually bringing movie special effects down a few levels instead of boosting them as they are intended.

 

I'm starting to think we should just call this "Mitch's Thread"!!!!!!

 

my rant is for parents. I crash the car last weekend, and then the INSIST i try again this weekend!!

 

My rant is for things that walk away... I put a cd down two days ago, and its not where I put it! I had to make a new one, and I'm really late for school!

My rant for today is people who seem to love to steal one's ideas and research. I'm not going to name anyone, but I'll just say SOMEONE loves to do this in alot of classes and it royally ticks me off. I feel if you want to borrow some info, ask, not just glance over at my screen and do a direct copy of the URL.

 

MY rant is about SOME people, who make mountains out of molehills, and then accuse a person, their identity only thinly veiled, of these ridiculous things, in a public forum such as this one.

 

??? Mitch's problem does sound very serious. I should take that lightsaber from my locker and into class where you can use it to keep copiers away

 

You seem to forget Laurie, this thread is to let out all the steam you need against anything or anyone. And because I didn't give a name, no one knew who it was. Also, I wasn't saying anything about this person's personality, I was just saying one of the things this person does which isn't "mountains out of molehills" it's a serious deal. How would you like it if during your time at highschool someone is cruising through classes on YOUR work? And, because they somehow always get it in just before I do (like one minute before) I get the rap of plagerisum. Now I don't feel this is fair, and think you should rethink things before you defend them.

 

My rant (not that I'm mad at anyone) is about editing messages. I hate it when people make a message, and when they realize they made a mistake, they edit the message and put "EDIT:" and then the correction. I just don't see why people don't just edit the message entirely, and correct the mistake rather than typing "EDIT" to make everyone realize you screwed up!

 

Something that bugs me is that this rant thread seems to be turning into an argument thread....and Mitch would like that too much, so we can't let it happen!!!
My old Granny used to say, "What's sauce for the goose, is sauce for the gander." I'll let you figure that one out for yourself. In the meantime, just to let you know...I always think twice about what I write....before I post it!!!!! [face_shocked]
