Full Series Rebels 4.15/4.16 - Family Reunion - and Farewell (SERIES FINALE!) - Discussion Thread (Spoilers)

Vader would hunt the Rebels down even if Ahsoka was dead we know that. Also soon after he was way more interested in Luke then he ever would be Ahsoka.

 

As someone who disliked TLJ, I still accept it as a movie and try to find good in it. I did not like how Luke's story ended (or Ackbars... not as happy about that one) but the movie had that awesome scene with Kylo cutting Snoke in half then fighting the guards with Rey. Just an amazing scene overall. I also really liked Rey and Luke's story as a whole (before Luke's end) and was not a fan of Poe in this movie even though I loved him in TFA. But I do not believe ranting about it is good, I like to look for the good in it. I do not think it ruined Star Wars or other parts of Star Wars I do like. I know with all these new movies that I am bound to dislike some of it, and that is fine.

These episodes of Rebels were among my favourites, but the people saying that Ahsoka or Ezra should have died because it did not fit with their headcanon are the people I try to avoid on these forums. I love discussing things I love with other people who love these things, but it feels like some people do not find any good and even if they dislike something, they go on and on about how it was poorly written or does not fit in with their head canon. I hate that...

Rant over, but question. Why would Filoni not want to show what Ahsoka looks like at this point? I really want to know what is so special about her here...

I am the most curious about her ship and escort - like she's someone quite prominent in the New Republic...

*sigh* Quoted for truth. A lot of people don't realize how far they've fallen into the Dark Side.

 

To be fair we only see her return to Malacore. We don't know when she returned. It could have been her original time (end of season 2), it could have been the "current" time (near end of season 4) or it could even have been the future (post-Endor). And then we don't know how long it took her to escape that world or how she did it.

Part of me still thinks Vader should have killed her. I love her, but that feels like a natural, tragic, endpoint for her. But, Dave Filoni must have something in mind for her so I'm definitely open to see where the character goes. If they've worked out a better end point for her character then I'll be all for it.

 

I feel like that by showing Ahsoka in the epilogue, they're implying that she did make it back to civilzation and then sat around, not fighting the Empire, not helping Luke, doing nothing. If they intended for her to have gotten lost in time, they probably wouldn't have shown her at the end as if nothing had happened at all.

 

I hope to god she was not just sitting around doing nothing.

 

I'm thinking she devoted herself to studying the force. She probably sensed Anakin's death and realized it was over and she could come back.

 

Still if she was hiding just because of Vader that would just be fear making her hide nothing more. Vader was focused so much more on Luke then he ever was Ahsoka.

 

Well she was suppose to be dead, she probably didn't want to upset that.

Coming out after the Empire was defeated would be fine.

 

Everyone who had importance to the story knew she was alive. Ezra knew and So did the Emperor. Thus she should have fought instead of doing it is she was doing.

 

I think it's to link with the first season. Sabine starts off the series wanting to know more about Fulcrum who is Ahsoka, and now at the end she's going off on an adventure with her.

her new outfit implies that there's almost certainly an untold story.

 

My bet is she went and studied the force or something along those lines. I just wish that she would not just hide herself away.

 

I want to see Ahsoka get to talk to Anakin again (since at this point, he's a Force Ghost). One last "Snips" and "Skyguy" interaction.

 

I mean it doesn’t even need to be the last time. After Anakin dies he can talk to Ahsoka or whoever is willing to listen and is force sensitive.

 

The odds of immortal Ahsoka have skyrocketed since her former master knows how to become a force ghost.

 

I want the force ghost ability to be something only a Jedi can achieve so unless she rejoins the order then no ghost for her IMO.

 

eh, i don't know about that. The Force Priestesses are the ones who bestowed the secret to Yoda, and they aren't jedi. Bendu definitely seems to have gone ghost as well (insert Danny Phantom theme here)

 

Right, complete forgot about the priestesses so you got me there.

 

She would've been up to something, she's never been one to hide.

 

Yoda or Obi-Wan probably told her to stay out of the way through the force.

 

It's possible, but I hope we find out the reason.
