A wheelchair would probably work but it would need to be turned backwards while you kneel in the seat so that you can jump out without it clonking you over the head-

As for the skateboard idea -how about taking your idea of 3 skateboards down to 2 conected with a plank of wood or hardboard of some kind -that way you can stand on the board/plank with the skateboards attatched to the bottom of the wings -the only real problem would be the strenght of it all -If your holding onto it you'd be putting weight onto it which may make it hard to have a strong enough fixture to hold the wings to the skateboards .

Going back to the micro scooters a minute -what if we had 2 -like the skateboards -this would give you quite a big platform to stand on and the whole thing can fit to the handle bars very securely

The problem I see with them all though is the transport issue -
The main thing in my designs is that they are all designed to fold up which the base wouldn't be able to do- Perhaps we could all take a different piece -I take the main body while someone else would take the [as yet undecided] wheeled base wether it be wheelchair ,office chair,skateboards or micro scooters -otherwise we'd never get it all there

We'd just have top remember to take a drill etc

Or perhaps we could just plain and simply throw Stuey in

 

I've just been on the Red bull site and it says that they are looking for around 40 entrants - So if there's too many this may not actually happen for us ?

 

But its August, I'm 26 on the 5th, its in London, the weather will be nice (hopefully), and I'll have booze, and a laugh watching other people drown.

CGI- If your sure you want to build it, it's your baby. Also, take a look at the first page (i think) of this thread because it has the maximum weight allowed for the craft.

I think we need to keep this nice and simple Stuey, mainly for transport purposes. I still think the micro-scooter will be the safest bet though. And as Az pointed out, whatever the final design looks like, your goin straight doooooooown lol

As for advertising, i agree, something could go on the craft it self as well as doing flyers (no pun intended)

Yes, we do need to be prepared to get there and not get to fly, i think this was mentioned a few pages back.

And double birthday celebrations too, that's great!

 

All the crew should be wearing t-shirts which will advertise. The t-shirts should also have images of Bruce's whisky on it

 

all of the aforementioned shirts should have my face with a very cheesy grin holding a bottle of Bruce's with the address on the back

 

the Red Bull Flugtag is most definitely the dream competition for crazy showmen with a desire to take to the skies in a very unique way!

This is the sole reason Stuey qualifies for the pilot!!

Mr Morbey has had regular experience of my 'sub-sanity' i guess this is one event big enough for you guys to play catch up. i'm really excited actually, i just hope we get to do it and my hair is grown enough for it to fuzz up to an afro for the cameras
