If I wanted a fishing game I'd buy a fishing game.

 

The game has a feature you aren't interested in, quelle horreur. At this rate companies will start releasing entire games you don't care about.

 

But that feature is almost certainly an optional side mission, so...

Oh, wait.

 

Can I use my GPS to find the fishing spots?

So, for the record, you like Beyond: Two Souls, a game where someone has a magic ghost companion, but the notion of a game with cowboys having a minimap, a more or less standard feature in video games regardless of setting, time period, or ability to provide an in-universe justification, is a bridge too far? Are you similarly horrified that in GTAV you don't die but instead go to the hospital (and a farcically inexpensive hospital given the circumstances) after receiving multiple life-ending injuries?

 

The bridge too far for me was when the original Red Dead Redemption figured they'd jump on the zombies bandwagon. I don't care about the minimap or fishing; I'm just not interested in a single-player game in the Old West. The multiplayer feature, if it's good, would make the difference for me.

 

If you're not interested in a single-player game in the old west then why is it of any consequence to you whether or not there was an intentionally goofy zombie expansion to the first game, or a minimap for that matter?

 

So the bridge too far was the optional extension to a game you "never got around to playing".

I'm betting the multiplayer will have a GPS too, so you should probably just skip this one altogether.

 

You're on a forum for a series that has instantaneous space travel, a magical force power, light sabers, and blaster rifles, but a video game offering player friendly features like a gps and mini-map is going to far?

No offense but you need to sort out your priorities and stop trolling the thread for a game you're not interested in.

 

I'm hugely excited for this game. I was surprised by how much I enjoyed the last one. It looks like Rockstar are introducing some RPG elements into the game by allowing the player to make choices that will define the outcome of the campaign. I hope that they will handle this better than they did in GTA IV.

The landscapes look awesome and fantastically varied. The old west has received less attention from video games than it merits. Because of this, we will approach this title free from the fatigue that accompanies a return to an overly-familiar setting.

Personally, I'm not too bothered about the multiplayer. That said, I may well find myself sinking hours into this.

 

My most anticipated game for the rest of the year. Looks like it has everything that I loved about the original with a whole lot more added. What’s not to like?

Rockstar destroyed the winter release schedule and now they're coming to consume your hard drive.

 

I mean, it's a ****ty practice, but GTAV is also a bloated goddamn mess on the hard drive, so this is par for the course for Rockstar.

 

I only have an original 500gb PS4, I'm already running a 1tb harddrive expansion for all my other games.

I will refrain from getting it until nearer Christmas though as I'll wait for the inevitable plethora of patches that will be required to fix the game breaking bugs that are likely to be hidden within it somewhere.
