I saw this thread and couldn't resist joining in. Hi, by the way I really liked how reminiscent it was of the early series' and that the old spark was back between them all.
Me too, given how poor the last two series Back to Earth were I was suprised how good this first new episode was. Hopefully it can maintain that quality throughout.
We will see, if the other previous actors no longer wnat to do it or look too old then I'm fine with it. I liked tonight's new episode, didn't think it was as funny as the first two though.
I liked it more than the second one. Watching them with the flat-pack assembly reminded me of some of my efforts.
I haven't watched last nights episode yet, I'll probably catch it over the weekend but the first three have been great in my opinion. The show feels like it's really gone back to it's roots and is playing off some of it's older strengths. I just wish they'd give a proper explanation for what happened to the crew.
I liked the most recent one. Since you haven't watched I won't spoil you. I thought the scenes with Lister were pretty funny.
It wasn't as good an episode as the previous ones, but so far the series has exceeded expectations so a dud or two is fine.
Tonight's was excellent. For my money, EASILY the best of the series. Perhaps one of my favourite Red Dwarf episodes.
Decent enough finale, although I didn't find it as funny as the earlier episodes. Any news on if there will be more?
If they can go somewhere with it then OK, but I don't want to see them just making more series because this one was generally decent. After all, weren't they killed at the end of series 8? The show needs to have some sort of permanent conclusion so that it can end properly. Blackadder being an example, it has a brilliant ending and that is that.
Latest episode was really good. I thought the actor portraying a young Rimmer did a great job and got that smug expression down perfectly.
Dave will be pleased if sales are high, not sure if they entirely believed this new series would work out.
Not sure what the viewing figures for Series X were, if high I assume it's very likely Dave will do another series.
I've got to go into town tomorrow so I'm going to look for the DVD. If I don't find it then I'll get it from Amazon UK.
