Reinstate Darth Sapient Petition Thread

For a prime example of why we need Sapient, check out the 3SA right now... redundant and innappropriate threads are snowballing.

All 4 mods are offline, but DarthSapient is on. Grr...

Even though it makes no difference, I post in this thread.

 

While I staying out of this issue for the most part, I will say one thing.


Sapient was one of the fairest and most effective mods that the JC has ever known, and losing his services is a big blow for this community. I only hope some sort of compromise or resolution can be met.

 

I'm now taking bets on how long it will take before this is locked.

Course, you need decent mods to be able to get that done.

 

Darth Sapient was like 4 mods in one anyway.

I fully support his reinstatement, provided it's accompanied by a full apology by Mr. Wise.

Then Sapes can stand over his choking corpse and say "Apology accepted."

 

I remember WAAAAAY back the reason he was modded was caused he bugged other mods so much about being a mod

Ahhhhh, the good old days.

I still don't understand the whole mess but I thought he was a cool guy/mod.

I'll sign this petition too. Darth Sapient should be reinstated as a head admin again.
As evident 3SA board is chaotic without him moderating it.

 

I'm going to go one further. I think that Darth Sapient should own this site !

 

In my mind, for all intents and purposes, he's always owned this site.

 

You have grossly overestimated my net worth. And I have been demoted because I don't want all my information out there. Buying a site ensures that, especially a public LLC.

I concur; Sape has contributed much to the 3SA and seeing this happen is upsetting.

 

If Sape can't afford to buy the site, then maybe I can !

I'd match that, Walken, but I'm waiting for the &%$# GBP's exchange rate with the US dollar to go down.

(Sorry--it's a personal thing--I plan a trip to London for Easter and the dollar becomes good on the Continent but not in England. )

Anyway, here I am signing.

Sape is married with two kids--he shouldn't have to hand over his info. (Neither should the other mods, but I am making a point that he has a family.) He and I have had our disagreements but he's a good moderator and should be reinstated.

Anyway, back to the topic:

DarthSapient was the hardest working mod here, and for that alone he deserves another chance. Not to mention how dedicated he is to helping this site. He is more dedicated to this volunteer job than most people are to their paying jobs!

Why do people feel the need to be jerks? There's no reason to comment on locking topics, etc. If you have nothing intelligent to add, just keep it to yourself.

 

I'm only going to say this once, because it's stupid.

What if random users submitted their info in place of the demoted mods, so the mods could get their jobs back without supplying their info.

Like I said...stupid.

 

DS got screwed. He's the only mod that could juggle supershadow threads, myriad General Grievous threads, and all the other crap that happens in the middle of the day. Bring him back!

 

Yep, he deserves better than what he got. I'm in.

Sapient's color may have been yellow, but he was the most colorful of all mods. And the most dedicated. The board just isn't the same without him as an admin. I miss seeing his yellow name.
