My point was merely that, in terms of tallying the total number of books within the "Republic sphere," if you will, it might have been arbitrary to include "Jedi," "Obsession," and "Purge," in that tally, but not "Jedi Quest," or "Qui-Gon & Obi-Wan," the point being that they could have been issues of Star Wars ongoing if Starcrash could have been (and was). But it's all so hypothetical. In any case I do agree with the poster above in the sense that in terms of actual quantity of material produced, Dark Horse's coverage of the Prequel era has exceeded Marvel's coverage of the original trilogy era in their original Star Wars series (unless you count the Star Comics Droids and Ewoks series: but is that technically Marvel or not?). Especially when you consider that there have been a number of double issues within the Dark Horse Prequel universe and that page counts are generally longer now anyway.

I thought that DH was continuing the numbering of Republic with something else? Did I miss something?

Starcrash remains my favorite of the Republic issues.

Seriously, over Anakin and A'Sharad Hett.

    BEST Republic issue ever.

A simple tale of good versus evil starring Link and Zelda.

Why the hell haven't we seen Yoshi again? I love that guy!

    He and her were cute!

Starcrash definitely counts as part of the Republic line. It's definitely the odd issue in the series but it's there.

GL was directly involved with the ending? Interesting ...

Me thinks I may have been wrong as well about the TV show.

But Han should have died in TUF, damnit!

*blinks* Why don't you try reading the black-highlighted spoiler sections of this thread, my good man? :) They'll tell you all you need to know about what the official status of Quinlan Vos is.

Edit - never mind, you changed it. Good. :)

I was thinking that "Jedi Council: Acts of War" seems to fit in with the general style, themes, and tone of "Republic" as well.

Perhaps, but it was more of a stand-alone like JF:eek:S or DM (plus the Jedi Council prefix title implies a seperate series). Though The Devaronian Version is basicly all about JC:AOW...

Exactly, and the appearance of Villie in JC:AOW ties it to Republic as well . . .

And, don't forget, it was the first appearances of K'Krukh (appeared in Republic and Jedi series), Tsu Choi (appeared in Republic, Jedi and Purge), Master Bayts (Obsession)....

    Master Bayts?

Okay, I know there's some jokers at DH, but who's responsible for that one? :p

Yeah, I count JC:AoW as part of the Republic series in my catalog. Same artists, same characters, similar situations, and a relation to stuff later on.

IMO, I'd group together at the very least:

    Republic
    Jedi
    Obsession
    Purge
    JC:AoW
    Free Comic Book Day Comic

Darth Maul, Jango Fett and Zam Wessel one shots and Open Seasons are a separate group, IMO, since they focus on the "villains", and Republic tends to focus on the heroes.

Yep, that's how I have them labled in my catalog. I do think Brothers in Arms (the free comic book day one) seems more like a lone one-shot/RotS countdown tie-in, but since it's in one of the CW volumes I lumped it with Republic.

While we're on this subject, does anyone have the title Jedi: Yoda was given for the TPB? I've been trying to find it for awhile...

Thanks. Just making sure, since I know "The Best Blades" was the title of the TBB as well.
