It would be nice to see Wedge and Lando showing up in a big way like that! With Luke and Han for sure gone, besides maybe a Force ghost appearance, and Leila’s state a question it’d be nice to see them show back up. Maybe Wedge and Lando even had families that were normal and they could hint or show it. Surely at least a few characters from the original trilogy had to end up retiring and settling down. But Wedge leading a squadron of fighters and Lando in a flagship would be great to see for sure!

I thought she was saying their contacts (plural) in the outer rim. And they did transmit to these contacts once on Crait but they didn't respond because they had um given up hope and the spark was out, as Leia explained.

ETA also the contacts would need to have significant things to offer, such as military reinforcements.

Anyway I can't remember her line. When will the script be available? Lol

I remember her saying OUR contacts, as in Resistance contacts.

I'm basing this on the leaked subtitle file and a very dodgy listening experience which I think matched the above text.

Can't be 100% sure though.

To be honest we probably shouldn't read all that much into this line.

It's very much background chatter and probably won't be followed up on other than there will presumably be some other resistance people who weren't on the Falcon by the time of Episode 9.

She might even just be talking about knowing somewhere they can get some food supplies and no questions asked.
Although... porgs... just saying.

 

Other resistance people could be anyone.
