It’s a shame that the rumors Rocksteady were working on a TMNT game after Arkham Knight were false. They really could’ve done something great with that license, rather than wasting away on that doomed Suicide Squad game.

I adored Shredder’s Revenge, though, and I hope it did well enough for Dotemu to green light a sequel. If we can’t get a proper 3D Turtles game, at least keep the 2D beat em ups coming.

 

I loved the Turtles. I agree for the most part they made the best brawler games, even better than the X-Men arcade game IMHO.

 

But I’d rather play as Donatello than Captain ****ing Boomerang.

 

I too never beat the original Turtles NES game.

I think I remembered seeing a play-through online, and my mistake came down to not using the rockets you collect for the Turtle van in the right places at the right times.

And this was of course after having your nerves wrecked by the stage at the dam.

That game was unforgiving.

Which is why the Arcade game was a CAKE WALK by comparison.

It's a testament to the fact that everyone is different when it comes to gaming. My learning disability made so that it took me nine years to beat World 8 in SMB, yet had already finished SMB3 and SMW in 91 and 93. Months after getting them.

Oh and the NES "Friday The 13th" is difficult to beat, but not impossible. My friend could beat Jason in the cabin in the final stage, but I can only do it on the road after sacrificing the other counselors.

TLR could be a great game if handled well. I particularly like the potential to carry the weapons of all 4 turtles.

 

Rampage was a fun game.

However, it was a fighter game not a destroy cities rampage game.

 

One of my faves as a kid.

 

If you’ve never looked up the twist premise of the remake from… Christ, almost 15 years ago???, and you like a really good laugh, you should do so. It’s a really magical reminder of why not every game should have it’s plot expanded.

 

I have not. The remake looked abysmal in every generic way from the early aughts.

Watched this with my brother-in-law and nephew this weekend.

I was shocked that:

1. There were so many I had actually played. More then I ever remember.

and

2. There were way more that I never even heard of.

 

We played many, because they made many. And they could be beaten in an afternoon, with friends over.
