Hello,
I am unable to remember the last time I was here, but memory of this place came upon me and here I am.
The old is new again so this looked to be a good place to start.

My siblings and I grew up watching Star Wars on old VHS tapes that our father recorded from televised premiers - formatted to fit your screen no less . We destroyed those tapes because we would watch them back to back, with ESB being our favorite if only for the big fight scene being near the beginning of the story.

With time, we played the video games, bought the toys, listened to rumors of a "prequel trilogy" being planned, and then this one here skipped school to see TPM opening day...along with all the adults ducking out from work. The financial impact of adults skipping work that day made the news too, I believe.

Fast forward into adulthood, and after making the poor decision to spend money on rent and food instead of SW, I get bothered by the disastrous sequel trilogy, am mildly entertained by The Mandalorian, and now I am here seeing how the fandom is fan-ning.

I hope to have a good time, again.

 

I haven't put much thought to Kenobi to be honest. I'll probably check out the first episode at least.

Thank you for your offer of assistance. Is there an old folks home for us oldbies?

 

I was most active in the political discussion forums, which don't seem to be here anymore - probably for the best.

Before I left, it was in random social threads of which I don't recall.

I think I'll be snooping for now .
