SNG REVIEW: HASBRO's Episode II Figures

So, finally, the toys are out. Have you taken the toys out to play, or still kept them MINT IN PACKAGE?

I've taken out my Count Dooku, Anakin (Hangar Duel), Yoda, Clone Trooper and Jango Fett to display and ... hehe well.. Play too!

They're so fun. I especially love playing with Anakin and Dooku. They're like fighting. The action pose sure looks great, contrary to what many feared when Hasbro switched the poses of all toys.

The likeness of Anakin is superb! But was kindda disappointed with Jango, his face is not well defined... BUT BobaFett looks COOL! So is Yoda and Padme, plus the Clone troopers!

I strongly encourage all to take out your toys... forget abt things like value and MIB quality... becos I dun think anyone is even thinking of selling your toys, rite? Take out and display/play! Have FUN!!!!!

 

Unless it's the one with the Scene Background, open it. My free R2 got the background so he's not coming out of the package ever I think.

As for Wesell, not going to open it soon. I'll open the Sneak Preview one instead first as I don't have much space to display anyway.

 

You guys have more disposable income at hand..

I can't even find certain figures..plus not enough money to buy them.

 

Well, that's becos I've slaved my 2.5 years to MINDEF... gosh, how time flies...

Anyway, soon, my "disposable" income will come to a stand still becos I'll be going to NTU in July... of cos, I can always tution those young Padawans.. Teehee!

Hope to find Star Wars fans there @ NTU too,.. hehe!

I only have 7 figures..6 from collection 2 (Shaak Ti and others) and 1 Clone Trooper. I currently don't intend to open them..well at least not yet.

I do like the new packaging and the details and points of movement are nice too. Btw, do any of u have those Action figure stands?

JaZzYjaZZ, don't worry, leh! Do it slowly and buy the figures you really, really want. I only got Wesells now and Padmes, Anakin and Royal Guards will come later when they comes (RG) or I got the cash to spare. Frankly, even for TPM & POTJ, I got only a few Action Figures with some out of the package due to costuming needs or because I got the space to display and extra figure to keep. I been doing a little saving up on my part too and someone to finance my hobby here and there. I actually don't get a big weekly allowance, very, very small if compared to most students, even those in Sec School (Frankly, I been getting the same allowance for 9 years and it's the same with my younger brother who's in Sec 1 now! )

Darth_Eagle - REally? My allowance is quite average too..not extravagant but alright. I've been saving up for some time too hee. What I really want now is Yoda, Mace, Jango and Super Battle Driod. But I'm afraid now only the 'scalper' ones are available~ sigh

 

For Jargo, don't worry too much as there is rumors or inside infos that it got produced quite a lot, although not as much as Darth Maul Final Duel (he's still on sale for SG$1.90 I heard ).

NTU Fan Club, donno leh cause I'm not the Sith Lord. It's my friend.

 

Hopefully I can go this weekend...I'll be getting a lightsabre, definitely, but the figures...

 

Saw some of the toys on sale at Taka this evening. Some random thoughts...

(1) Wanted to laugh my head off at the silly 'spoiler'. Darth Tyranus? Geez... who is that guy? I thought he was the Lord Dooku or someone like that.

(2) The Lightsabre toys. Ha ha.

(3) Mace Windu is *so* unbelivably cool.

and the best...

(4) Did anyone see the Lego YODA? *faints*

 

I really do fill like opening the boxes as well, such a waste to keep them in the boxes, i havent really open up my episode 1 figures as well. By the way Boba u r right, this time hasbro kind of produce more than enough to cater to fans and kids, they have like a Jango fett (knowning to be the most cool and popular charater) in every carton so i guess if we want to sell it, it wont be for a high price.

Anywhere sightings of Royal Guards, NEW Darth Vader and NEW Darth Maul (saw both figures on the free poster given to early birds in Australia). Heard IRG was at TRU Marina on Wed but disappeared within 30 mins

Yay! I got my lightsabre! It's the Electronic one, because the Basic Lightsabre blade is really short...problem is, it can't go on a belt. The blade extends whenever the sabre's pointed downwards. I'll just have to hold it throughout the whole thing.

And that eliminates the problem of finding a Covertec pager clip.

The Basic Lightsabre comes with a clip, and it only extends when it's pointed downwards and a button is pressed. The bad thing, as I've mentioned, is that the blade is comically short.

 

Yeah I realised it too...makes ppl think that it's for kids! What I actually thought it could do was that if placed upright, and the button is pressed, the blade will extend on its own! haha!

 

But the Electronic lightsaber is very EX leh...

I'm waiting for Padme and Jango's Blaster... lightsaber... well, will wait till Dec 02 when there is Christmas sale.. hehe!

Yeah, the Royal Guard is about the most desirable fig for me to get at the moment. Have dispatch a friend who'll be heading Japan to source for it for me. But it would be cool to able to find some here.
