Dear Lord all of you. The comics are great either way.

 

I’ve been trying to find hard copies of the first two issues for a really long time now. About to resort to eBay. Comic stores locally have me down for a reprint on the first one, and there might be some luck for the second.

 

Congratulations to all of you reylos out there, while I might not count as a reylo myself. I mean once TLJ took it in that direction, I figured it was either Ben Solo or bust. Looks like we got a little bit of both.

 

In my head, Ben Solo still counts as Reylo. But that's just me.

 

There are no developed romances in the ST. The passionate kiss at the end of Episode 9 is the closest thing we get. But it looks like Reylone is the final condition and that's OK with me.

I'm surprised this thread isn't more active, given the zeal of many reylo shippers in other nooks of the Internet. They are out there coming up with ways for Ben to come back or for Rey to be carrying his Force Baby. But then, maybe the reylo set here is less passionate.

I hope I'm not trespassing--I don't consider myself a reylo, just someone who isn't horrified by it. I'd like to see more of what people think about the very limited fulfilment of their vision that happened in the end. Are TFN Jedi Council reylos OK with what happened? Is it better or worse than what you expected. What were you hoping for specifically?

 

Ok listen. I wish not to rain n any parades, but I need to speak to the fans of Reylo to see their side of the story. I'm anti-reylo, but I need to come here and ask a question. To the fans. I romise not to be a negative idiot, and I won't say "Reylo sucks" or say anything rude about them in general. But my question is... Are you satisfied? The one kiss, then Kylo dies. There is no more Kylo to make Reylo. What do you think will happen, and how can a fandom exist when the amount of time they were in romantic relationship was about..30 seconds?

 

Of course we aren't satisfied! But that's what fanfic is for. The fandom is strong with this one.

 

It was an interesting take on Anakin and Padme's relationship from the Prequel Trilogy in my opinion.

 

Guys, I watched Phantom Of The Opera yesterday, and I gotta say,

The Phantom's "Now let it be war upon you both." (It's at the end)


And Kylo Ren's "I'll destroy her."


Exact same energy.

Also, question: Assuming y'all have seen The Phantom Of The Opera, how many Reylo shippers also ship Christine and the Phantom?

Yeah, I'm not completely satisfied with what we got in TROS either. But hey, at least it's actually canon. Unlike Rexsoka. Boo hiss.

My understanding of how Reylo should have played out might not be approved off by Rey fans, tho

I approach to their possible romance on the basis of them being themselves, and true equals, not him having to do sith for her to be deserving of her love....

 

This thread could need new input, hopefully Ben might return some day. My current favourite Reylo edits I wanted to share. #bensololives

 

I have at least four Reylo stories bookmarked on AO3. I know four doesn't sound like a lot, but I have very discerning tastes.

 

Hi. Guess what - I WAS a reylo fan. Right until TROS. Unfortunately that film completely killed my affection for Rey as a character. It also killed my respect for Abrams, my respect for Disney, and sadly, my forty two year old love for SW in general.

I still however, love Kylo Ren/Ben Solo, and always will, no matter how many silly retcons Disney conjure up to destroy Kylo/Ben fans' affection for the character. What Disney WILL NOT be getting is any more of my money.
Neither will LucasFilm or Abrams. Or Terrio.
As a former reylo, I would happily have sacrificed the three minute kiss for a living Kylo/Ben. The only thing I really wanted from the ST was for his character to survive, and atone for his past mistakes through what he did with his life in future. That was all this jaded middle aged fan wanted. Disney refused to give it to me or any of his fans. So ...there ya go.
