CT RIP Ron Cobb Special Effects Designer For A New Hope, Alien, Back To The Future and more has died

    Rob Cobb was a special effects designer who worked on many films including Alien, Back To The Future, Conan The Barbarian, the early versions of E.T. when it was called Night Skies and of course Star Wars designing many of the Cantina aliens some of which were cut but later used in the EU. His most notable design was the Ithorians nicknamed "Hammerheads". Later when an Ithorian Jedi Master appeared in the Gendy Tartakovsky Clone Wars series the Jedi was named for him. RIP.

    Nobody will remember him in the long run unfortunately

    People like this just come and go and leave no true visable mark in history no matter how talented they truly were :(
    It makes me very sad to be honest
