@Pensivia Bye, have a nice day!

I have only seen paper wrapped around branches of a certain tree. People had written their wishes on them, so I found it pretty bad-mannered when my classmates unwrapped and read them.

The most famous place was the Pont des Arts in Paris, but they had to remove the padlocks cause they were too heavy for the old bridge. :(

And since people are sharing photos here's mine of the said bridge taken in 2011 when there weren't that many padlocks. That building in the background is the Institut de France where I dreamed of working. :p

Lol thanks for the excuse to talk about them. Here are my favorites.

Now This is Podcasting! is my go to for SW news; great for keeping up w/developments about new/upcoming stuff & rumblings in SW - comics, movies, books, parks, anything. Plus long episodes which I love lol. Lots of tangents though.

Skytalkers & The Wampas Lair are very fun & great, pro-PT & each one is 2 friends talking about their love of SW.

Full of Sith is great for news too, very balanced in their approach to SW.

Listen to several others, but only if I’ve caught up w/ones I mentioned, plus non-SW ones. At home I nearly always have headphones on.

Holl-lee shiz-nit. I...I don't even know what to say here, other than: hell yes.

This is what I'm talkin' about. Star Wars post-Disney-takeover has been, at worst, a superficial corporate product; and at best, divertingly entertaining, with glints and gestures here and there of something curious or inspired but never quite wholly realized. Above all, it's been predictably insular (and thus often self-conflicted) with being Star Wars—the only way Star Wars has ever been recognized in a generic sense, particularly in repetitive content and beats. Granted, the studio is promising future trilogies/series/storylines entirely outside and removed from the Skywalker saga, yet even then they're still proceeding with this fictional universe in linear terms. The comments above, however, once again proves, or at least heavily indicates, why George Lucas, well, is. This the notion of Star Wars reinvented beyond its known premises to something truly bizarre is the very 'outside-the-box' mentality that first put Star Wars on the big screen to begin with, way back in 1977.

A "microbiotic world" far, far away?! WT and a great big ol' F. And I mean that in a good way. Would it have worked? Cats playing keyboards! Who the hell knows! But it sure woulda been crazy fascinating to see come to fruition. Alas, history is what it is.

That's awesome - I listen to SW Beyond the Films and Cloud City Casino, which are part of the same "network" as TWL.

It's essentially where I get my SW fix, outside of the time spent here. They're analytical and entertaining in their approach, and keep the focus on the material and continuity as opposed to whatever the weekly internet outrage is.

The ForceCenter network has some real good podcasts. They do about four per week but Tuesday's is their big one when they go over news as well as whatever topic they have that day. Hardly ever negative or have outrage.

I do wonder why he didn’t go with his first plan of directing episode seven and then selling the company.

Sadly, I remember him saying at some point, something to the effect of "Why would I make any more when people attack you for it?"

Oh I no, but that was around 2010 I beileve.

His first plan around 2011 or 2012 early was to sell the franchise after Episode 7.

Ah, I didn't realize that. Well that's a shame then. I would have rather enjoyed seeing one more Lucasian Star Wars episode.

“Why would I make any more,” Lucas says of the “Star Wars” movies, “when everybody yells at you all the time and says what a terrible person you are?”

    https://www.nytimes.com/2012/01/22/magazine/george-lucas-red-tails.html

Answer - basically people spending every waking minute on the internet screaming about how awful SW is. So, the same as now, just different hats.

[face_laugh] [face_rofl] Look at that dumb B99. He can't even read! What a dummy. He still probably has his mommy read him bedtime stories. Hey, B99, do you have to wear pampers too? Hey everybody let's throw stuff at him!
