Looks great. Probably won't be picking these up, but that could change if I love the movie. Might grab some of those nifty looking new Stormtroopers (if they make them) either way.

 

The Shoretrooper or the Death Trooper?

 

Honestly hoping for the Black 3.75" to be shown soon. That way I can get stuff that's already in scale to what the bulk of my collection holds.

 

I'm unsure about the pistol Jyn Erso is using. It looks too much like a nickel plated beretta, or 1911, or some other general modern pistol.

 

I'm guessing the black clad troops are the Death Troopers? Those for sure. They look pretty wicked, and fit right in w/the OT.

 

Yeah. That's what I like a bit about the Rogue One designs, they do feel like they fit into the OT rather nicely overall. That goes for some stuff from Rebels too that I feel that way with.

 

Doesn't look like it's worth the money to be honest!. Same with most of these Six inch figures.

But I'll be picking up the Shoretrooper, Death troopers and Krennic because they are cool and will look great on display.

Would prefer 3 3/4 versions though!

 

Really? She looks significantly better that most human figures that Hasbro has put out. I'm just hopeful that actual production figures look the same. Not banking on it.

 

That's not really that big of an accomplishment!
She's just empty and in no way is she worth the price.

 

Lol. No it shouldn't be, but Hasbro has proven otherwise.

 

So uh, Hasbro screws over the fans AGAIN.

SDCC starts tomorrow and as well as the ANH Obi Wan exclusive they will also be selling a Rogue One exclusive.



This also comes with a booklet like the SDCC TFA Stormtrooper did last year.

Also they will be selling the Celebration Kylo Ren exclusive.


Pretty shoddy business here.

I understand the ANH Obi Wan but why not have the Jyn Erso available at Celebration?
I probably would have picked it up if I saw it.

 

Oh and the Wave One Six Inch has leaked slightly.
It confirms the rumours and reports so at this point they are pretty accurate.

So uh Images are available of the first wave boxed.
It confirms Unmasked Kylo Ren does NOT include the Mask. That sucks if you didn't pick up the Celebration/SDCC exclusive.

General thoughts:
-Jyn looks definitely not worth £22.
-Cassian looks nothing like we have seen in trailers, does this suggest a Snow planet?
-K-Droid looks great, Very big apparently and in scale with the rest. I might pick that one up.
-Deathtrooper,/black stormtrooper looks fairly good, I might pick that one up.
-Unmasked Kylo Ren, pales to the Celebration version which I've already got. Sucks if you wanted the Mask as well.

 

I don't plan to buy any Rogue One merch here at the outset, but I think I'll make an exception for the Deathtrooper and K-2SO. Any word on what the street date for these will be?

 

@Juke Skywalker September 30th, it'll be like Force Friday from last year.
Obviously that's not been officially announced but I'm confident that it's true because so many websites have mentioned it and are in the know.
I suspect they will do a big live stream unboxing thing like last year but again no idea if that's the case.
Expect the launch to be dialled down though.

 

Cool, thanks for the info, Darthmaul208 . Like I said, gonna be barely dipping my tootsies in the water on R1 merch, but it'll be cool to get some fresh stock on the shelves.

 

Question is where will the stock go? Replacing Ep. VII or next to it? Starting out in its own space I'd imagine.

 

Yeah, I don't see them marking down all that stuff and starting fresh. My local Wal-Mart just did a reset of their toy aisle a few weeks ago, but I didn't catch a glimpse of their plan-o-grams. Looking at it now, all they really did was move it down the aisle (odd w/a new movie on the way). But to look at it, it would seem they're simply going to integrate the R1 stuff into the existing set. I assume R1 will initially get a large floor pallet similar to the one TFA and the latest TMNT got. One placed at the front of the toy department in a high traffic area. When it sells down, that stuff will then be worked into the aisle.

 

No, not sure the situation in America but Episode 7 stuff still isn't selling.

It will either be on clearance before FF or during.

It's tricky but there's some things that haven't moved since last year's FF event!
