    It's possible Rogue Squadron could be set decade later. Who knows what the conflict will be.

    Yes, but, when the Taika Waitit film is released in 2025...... I'll be 31 :----(

    They also reconfirmed Waititi's film, with this little blurb:

    A brand-new Star Wars feature with acclaimed filmmaker and Academy Award-winner Taika Waititi is in development. “Taika’s approach to Star Wars will be fresh, unexpected, and…unique,” said Kennedy. “His enormous talent and sense of humor will ensure that audiences are in for an unforgettable ride.”

    I don't necessarily think the OT era has been overused (I'll admit that I'm probably incapable of growing tired of that era), but I am delighted that this seems to be in the post-ST era. I want SW to expand - both into the past and into the future - and an Anthology movie (for lack of a better term) set after TROS sounds amazing.

    Post TROS is perfect. Because we don't have to worry about Skywalkers showing up. It also actually opens it up to learn more about the SW universe. This is excellent news.

    Jenkins with Rogue Squadron.....sounds amazing

    its just that the ST+ timeline is a killer for me

    In any event....hopefully this is the start of Jenkins getting to do all sorts of things in SW
