Books Ronin novel - all spoilers

I Googled Emma Candon to see if she has published anything else, but this appears to be her first published work. I noticed that she works as an editor for a company called GoManga.

We’re told that this book will be “quite unlike anything before it”. When we combine this bold statement with Emma’s background/interest in manga, I think this might be an illustrated novel. This could be a breath of fresh air.

 

Well since they are calling it a new "novel"...to give us the head fake and reveal it to be a "graphic novel" would be a touch disingenuous.

Besides, if it were a graphic novel, I'd expect MARVEL branding around the launch announcement.

As to the content...as many in the fandom have long sought to see the wandering "grey jedi" concept expounded, this could be very exciting news.

However, to invest that much into a title announcement is getting ahead of ourselves.

Intriguing, but not captivating.

 

Don't forget IDW on the comics front.

This is from DR though, so most likely to be a novel. LFL Press does illustrated stories.

 

@Jedimarine I agree with your point, but I was thinking in terms of a novel interspersed with illustrations as opposed to a graphic novel. Something akin to Alice in Wonderland. But, you are right, we only have a title at the moment. I’ll wait for more information before I get my hopes too high

 

Guardians of the Whills and A Test of Courage are illustrated novels.

Is it possible that the main character is named Ronin, because it sounds cool and we're all reading too much into it?

 

What if it's like true ronin, smaurai, dressed like one with sword. before old republic and lightsaber.

 

I'm kind of liking not knowing anything about this one.

 

What if it's Embo just dressed as a ronin old post ST era, and he is hunted.

 

You know the bounty hunter from clone wars with his wolf and his shield hat. Filoni voices him i think.

 

Hondo? As for this... other guy..... clearly made an impression.

 

Yeah first introduced when helping kenobi, Skywalker and Tano portect farmers and later chases Pamde and her old fmae trough some ice, he figths Maul's brother. Hondo almost kills him with a tank. He's also still alvie by the time of the ST era.

 

Oh, that guy.

 

Not to have a "No True Scotsman" fallacy going on, but it's kind of surprising that people don't know about Embo. XD

Oooo wow this looks amazing. It's sort of like Netflix's Love, Death and Robots idea of the anthology that they went to different studios to do different episodes, but for anime. It's a great method for generating a lot of different ideas and styles.
