[Round Three] Play-in Game: Almost Famous vs. Mace Windy Cloud City Riders

For this game we are welcoming back the top two teams that lost in Round 2 and they are playing for a spot to get into Round 3 where they will play V1N.

In Round 1 they beat the New Movies team The Thala-Sirens. In Round 2 Almost Famous played an epicly close game with The Power Converters where they went through 4 Rounds and two Sudden Death rounds before falling.



Next up is the combo team from Celebration/Lucas Film, it's

In Round 1 they beat Community team John Williams. In Round two they lost to Community team V1N in 4 rounds. They were the highest scoring team to lose with a score of 285. If they win, it would be an epic rematch.

Right?! Now you can't make coffee and that's just going to make the rage worse. I'm going to give her the benefit of the doubt and say it was broken.

I see your point, but in terms of cars, I've had 2 sets of housemates, both couples, all students, who always buy the cheapest used car they can find that can run without major issues, and when something goes wrong (or they hit a fire hydrant, or a moose... in the same weekend), it usually costs more to fix than another car would. Sure it probably costs more in the long run instead of buying a half-way reliable car, but some people just can't afford it, plus of those junkers ran for an impressively long time.

Okay, I'll go back to lurking (and being grossed out by dp4m's sock situation; this is like the pot calling the kettle black, but stop eating pancakes and go buy some new socks man).

 

When my car starts "acting up" I take it to a mechanic. Personally I wouldn't typically replace it except for the time that I did LOL. My old 2004 PT Cruiser was acting up a lot to the point that I was at the mechanic once a month. Eventually I traded it in for a new car in 2012. Coffee maker is a good answer and I'm surprised it wasn't on the board.

But sadly @Obi Anne, we've gotten to a point in the US where things are not made to last and it's quicker and less inexpensive to simply replace it than it is to fix it.

EDIT: PS, I just saw on Facebook that there is an island in Singapore that burns their trash and then uses the ashes to make an island. It's a very beautiful island, and it doesn't stink, but I question the gases and such being put into the air from the burning of the garbage.

My car is a 2008, and I HATED having a car payment so I agree with not just getting a new car. But also, I don't drive all that much so it's much easier to keep a car.

I just replaced the battery on my flip phone (yes, I still use one), so *shrugs*

Usually by acting up, mine just has a hard drive failure. I once had someone at the genius bar say "The good news is your battery [on my laptop] is great! The bad news is your hard drive is shot."
