It is an expensive nap! Thankfully my wife knows better.

 

Knows better? What kind of response is this? Will you beat her if she sleeps? When did I wake up in the 50s?

 

My wife knows not to sleep in a theater because it would make me upset because I'm not paying for her to sleep. She knows better because we had a discussion as two adults that if she were to fall asleep I would be upset and not take her to the movies anymore.

See vin, when two adults live together, married or not, you have conversations and communicate. I know better not to leave the sink wet because it makes my wife upset, so I always take a towel and dry it when I'm finished washing my hands or brushing my teeth. If I do leave the sink wet, I don't get beat. And for you to joke about abuse like this isn't funny because unfortunately there are those that don't feel safe at home.

If you notice the "tee-hee" emoji in my post, its meant as a tongue and cheek response to sleeping in a theater. Tongue-in-cheek is a figure of speech that describes a statement or other expression that the speaker or author does not mean literally, but intends as humor or otherwise not seriously. This is a message board where people make jokes where I'm talking about how an comfortable situation can be uncomfortable.

Also, I don't appreciate that I have to explain myself everyday. Why don't you go pay attention to your game or possibly add something of value instead of attacking those trying to drum up excitement or conversation for these games? Maybe try a real joke and not insult or imply abuse?

I have a Pavlovian response to being in the backseat of a car. 10 minutes in and I'm out. I could never read in the car and so when I was little there wasn't a lot to do except sleep on a long trip.
