The Beatles fun facts revisited; not reliant on the date this time.

Harrison Ford was born on July 13, 1942.

Paul McCartney was born on June 18, 1942.

Those birthdays were during the midst of WW2 folks.

Paul being in Britain, it was pretty bad times to say the least.

As they both approach the age of 78 this summer, let us remember that McCartney recorded a vaudeville inspired song with The Beatles back in 1967 about loveable, jolly old, elderly people retiring and caring for one another way back when he was only 24 years old.

According to legend, Paul had actually written this song years earlier, possibly when he was a mere teenager, as an homage to his jazz musician father.
John Lennon has confirmed this fact, and Ringo too, saying that Paul would whip out this number at their early club dates when they needed to fill time in their late sets, dating back to as early as 1958 or 1959.

Paul's mum had died tragically of cancer when the boy was only 14, adding to the poignancy in the tune.

These facts are from me own head, not from a book.

Anyhow, as Paul and Harrison Ford approach 78 years old; here's to "When I'm 64."

I really honestly do not know what a hobbit is lol.

Every time I think “oh I should watch those LOTRs,” I don’t. The one time I saw Fellowship, I was so bored, it was a slog. Idk, that sort of fantasy just doesn’t interest me, & tbh none of the characters are that appealing to me. But one day I’ll try watching ‘em again.

But anyway, happy 1st of April & good day friends!

 

The white on white set design and costume as Rey retrieves the dagger and sees Vaders' destroyed mask in Kylo's lair is a beautiful production design set piece.
And the Imperial March playing softly is a nice touch.
