I've always loved those two duels so much. It's very emotional when Qui-Gon dies and Kenobi cries out while Maul taunts him with a look that says kill. Great combo of emotion and lights out choreography there.

And the Bespin duel is just so intense. Luke's bravery against such a powerful, manipulative enemy is amazing to behold. And the various settings they travel through during that fight are so epic, leading to the heart breaking reveal. From the carbon freezing chamber through the bowels of Cloud City are some of my favorite sets in all of SW.
And the music in both of those duels augments the action so perfectly. Masterful work on all levels of filmmaking there. :bluesaber::redsaber:

    haha! :D

it was on actually yesterday :D

Bane is such an awesome villain :D if I was to rate them from TDK trilogy I think Bane would be first.
And yes I do think The Joker is awesome and is flawless in the role, But Bane captivated me from the start :p
Dare I even say I think Bane from the comics is slightly overrated (hears the hisses and boos :p ) but DKR Bane...fantastico :p

how are you my friend? :D

Hey, I know for a fact that the prequel trilogy lightsaber battles all lack real emotional weigh and dramatic tensiont! Trust me, I heard it in an internet review. :D

I prefer Ledger's Joker overall, and that's no slight against Hardy as Bane, but perhaps strangely to some I find Bane the most quotable for some reason. Probably because I just love trying to put on that voice. :p

    that's because it's a lovely, lovely voice :p

Eh I think Bane gets overlooked a bit, to the simple very British nod of 'how you doin, alright?' at the stock exchange hostage situation, to the shaking of the head at "this fallen idol...." he's just so fun to observe.
With Ledger I get bit weirded out because of you know what happened to the point that though it's captivating, not always fun to watch.

I can certainly agree that Bane's too often overlooked and I can understand where you're coming from with the Joker part. Honestly, it feels like pretty much every villain who isn't the Joker in that trilogy kind of is. Probably a screentime issue for some though. I think Murphy and Eckhart are both pretty great, but they don't get to take center stage as their classic villainous personas for the majroity of any particular film. Lol

yeah, I really would have liked more Scarecrow :(

imagine the chaos he'd have caused in Rises if he let off his fear gas in Gotham with frantic people with guns and a nuclear bomb parading around, All the while dressed in his garb and mask roaming around on a horse :p

    classic stuff!

Bane in TDKR is definitely one of my favorite villains ever. The look, the voice, the dialogue, the actor.
    So good.

Having read Knightfall beforehand, I got the chills in the theater when Catwoman led Bats to Bane and he got locked in there with him. I knew what was coming and it was actually quite scary to see Bats take that beating, what with his back and all. That was an example, for me, where knowing the story in the comics made seeing it on the big screen all the more impactful and intense.

have you read the complaints about that scene?

"man Batman is such a tool, why is he so weak?"
"This fighting is rubbish, I'm an expert in the martial ARTS cuz I've seen a lot of hollwood movies"
    "why is it so dark?"
"you'd think Bruce would put more of an effort in"
    "look how small Bane is..."

me: I swear the planet is chock full of morons....

in other words, I agree great scene :D
