It was years ago so I barely remember, but I do distinctly remember being like Meh about it. I was gonna say maybe because it was an older book, but I have read the first LOTR book and I liked it much more. So that’s not it.

Lol I’ve never heard the surname outside of Toy Story; I know it’s so stupid but it caught my attention & made me laugh.

It’s S1 Ep. 5 of The Ray Bradbury Theater, “The Screaming Woman.” Drew Barrymore’s in this ep. I’ve started working my way through the series.

May want to try the early 2000's miniseries scifi channel did and its sequel which combined the 2nd and 3rd books.

While the CGI is a bit wonky they get a the story much closer than the 1984 David Lynch film version did.(though I still love that for what it is and) and the miniseries did not add.the body horror stuff lynch did to the film version because well David Lynch.

The miniseries is 3 episodes. It has William Hurt(General Ross from the MCU) Duke Leto I, Ian Mac niece(Rome, Churchill in modern doctor who) as the Baron and Alec Newman(Strike Back, the Bastard Executioner, a ton of video games) as Paul.

The sequel miniseries Children of Dune has a young James Macavoy as Leto II, Susan Sarandon as Wenscisia Corrino, and recast lady jessica from Saskia Reeves(who was pregnant and could not film) with Alice Kruger(the Borg queen in star trek.

Well, Primed the Motorcycle Marines.

I have options with this kit.

I could go Black knights with Hammer, so three of these guys.

Or the base command squad(a champion, Banner bearer and apothecary aka medic.



I am still waiting on the Grandmaster Sammael model to arrive so I am going to hold off on the Knights with hammers(there his bodyguard unit anyway) and do the command squad.

Neat. I started collecting some SW legions sets, wanna paint them but im worried im gonna mess it up. Would love to see your warhammer collection someday.

Also when you start painting I will have to challenge you to a duel . you know that, right? Its tradition that any time a Dark Angel Marine comes in contact with you Space Corgis we have a duel going back to when our Primarchs had a fist fight that lasted a whole day and night after the battle at Dulan. Called the Lion and the Wolf.

That sounds fun, i will tag you whenever i've finished painting a miniature. Im thinking of buying one of those paint stations

 

Which space wolves color scheme do you prefer.



Left is the older bluer Verison, right is the current and horus heresy version.

 

I prefer the left version, mostly because when i see the warhammer style armor i associate it with blue.

Also, i forgot that i have painted 1 miniature. I visited a game workshop store and got to try it out. Didnt have much time, and the result isnt great, but it was fun.

You can see the difference even though I still am not that great at least now you can make out the details like the aquila on the chest.

@CIS Droid I just watched your Lego animation Secrets of the Data Disk and enjoyed it! Lego + Star Wars is awesome, and you did an amazing job with the animation.

 

Those look really nice, a lot of great improvements. Practice makes perfect as the saying goes, shame the hobby is so expensive.

Thanks, CIS Droid! I watched both of them; both were excellent! I can't imagine how painstaking the process was to make both films, but they look amazing. You did a fantastic job with a lot of details. I thought the smoke looked really great.
