Legoland. While certain elements that I hate have been there for a while, it's only the past 3 or so months that have really started taking a toll on me.

Chewie just did a Tarzan yell later to be reprised in ROTS.

ROTS is such a terrific film.
This OOT VHS tape is brilliant to have for enjoying the best version of the film too. The whole sequence on Tatooine is so much better without all the tinker tampering that went on subsequently.

Edit: although visually the VHS is a major downgrade, but it's fun to watch the OOT version of ROTJ once a year and today was that day.

 

You watched it on VHS? Haven't seen that since I worked at Gold's Gym. We had a combo VHS/DVD player, and someone had donated a tape of old Toonami (circa 1998) with 4 or 5 Sailor Moon episodes and 1 episode of Superfriends. Good lord, why were there so many commercials?

 

Yes.
The main reason I still keep a VCR is to watch Star Wars OOT on there. And a few rare, out of print Disney tapes I've collected. Like Make Mine Music which came out in 1946. It's really neat and not available on D+.

Sometimes having a VCR comes in handy.

 

I bet you could all sorts of lost anime on VHS.

 

Oh for sure. I've never looked into it, but I'm sure there is a huge collectible market for rare anime on VHS.

If I ever saw a Miyazaki film on a tape for a good price I'd probably buy it just as a collectible. Nausicaa on VHS would be neat. Not that I buy tapes on a regular basis or anything.
I found ROTJ for $1 on VHS about 10 years ago.

 

Kids would ask: What's VHS?

 

Tell them, Very Heavy Stuff.

 

I doubt uncut Nausicaa ever came out on VHS here in the States, maybe fundubs or fansubs.
