It's surprisingly solid

Been a fun week since I last posted - completed my annual rewatch of The Dark Knight Trilogy (truly timeless classics, all 3 are in my top 100 movies list - 60, 20, and 15) and expanded the nerd collection. Had 2 things come in the mail this week:





Excited to put up the poster today!

 

Back from a walk today, over in Somerset to the village of Bitton, which sits between Bath and Bristol. There's not that much of interest in the village itself, but some nice hills and woodland around it. Here's a view looking down towards Bristol:

For @heels1785 we have a bumper pack of small horses today, starting with this pair:




Down in the village, this building was probably an old schoolhouse:


The rather grand church in the middle of the village (with a concerning number of wonky gravestones):


Another horse with a small donkey (just opposite these two were a pair of emus or ostriches, but they were too far off to get a decent shot):



Some more of the slopes around Bath, we climbed up this impressive hill on the walk:


Another look back down where we'd come from, the hills in Wales are visible on the horizon:


To cap this post off I have a very unusual sight, a set of bizarre metallic sculptures, courtesy of one David Michael Morse, whoever he might be:





They were certainly distinctive creations to stumble upon nestled between holes on a golf course

Rusting I think, the metal was probably old scrap repurposed for art.
