Mondays are likely to be open for practice since that day was reserved for class.

I don't know if Rae and I will be ready to go for this Monday but future weeks should be ok.

I could come out tonight (monday) and it continues to be a good night in general for saber stuff for me. Raj could probably come tonight too.

    Hi all,

Any news on the the festivities this Saturday for the grand opening of the Shaolin school? Jen and I are interested in attending.

Maybe if there are enough of us interested, we could get together before the events to go over a few moves?

(Afterwards doesn't work for us, since we're having out-of-town friends over for dinner that evening.)

Hope to see you all there!

    Mr. Smith

Bah, look at this silly rain. I didn't check the boards for awhile there either. But if Raj ever gets out of bed this morning, we'll look forward to seeing some of you at the Academy at noon.

A big thanks to Manu- Forti for inviting us to the Academy today. It was awsome to watch all the demos and the Dragon and Lion dances were great.

I have been talking with Sifu Tim (Manu Forti) about the upcoming courses. He wonders what direction to take the instruction in. We all need to think about what we want to learn from this training. Where do we see ourselves in the next 4 weeks/months/years?

Do we want to keep up with the stage combat focused stick techniques, or do we want to start digging deeper and learning some bare hand styles too. It really is up to us, but we have to let Sifu know.

Think it over, and if you have any questions as to things we might want to cover, direct them to Manu Forti.

We had an excellent time at the Academy grand opening as well!

Regarding Monday practices - at least until we get a home for lessons again, and so long as it's not too cold or snowy or dark - we should just set up a standing time and place. I find it gets too difficult to coordinate ad hoc practices every week. So, I'm happy to offer the park beside my house every monday at 7pm. PM me for directions.

If there's any Monday that I can't host it, I'll post here that day, so check out the boards before making the trek!

    Bah!

I missed the drop-in today!! Dang. This preparing-night-and-day for my sister's wedding definitely has its drawbacks... I didn't even realise what day it was today and ended up being out shopping with my mom for her mother-of-the-bride gear. I haven't even logged on to the board for a week!

    How did the drop-in go?

If this awesome weather holds I'll be looking forward to some of you coming over this Monday evening (no one managed to make it last Monday sadly) for practice.

    Jen
