You'll have to excuse me for bringing this thread back from the dead, but there is something I must know. First, let me explain a little about myself. I'm an American living in Tampa, Florida, and have never been to Europe. However, I once dated a wee lass from Northern Ireland. I've been schooled in such things as white sauce(mayo) with chips(fries), but getting to my question, what in the hell is salad cream!

Salad cream is a vinagrette based dressing -lovely on everything - keep it in the CUPBOARD and put it on things like Philadelphia on toast.

Tip: Try and keep all thoughts of yellow mucus from your mind
