I dont mean to sound like a crazed fan who watches Lucas movies over and over again to pick out little things but I was wathcing Raiders of the Lost Ark and in the begining when the plane starts up that carries Jones away from the marauding tribals the noise it makes is a distinct sound from SW. ALthough for some reason my mind has gone blank and I cant remember what exactly makes the noise.

Just food for thought maybe someone can remind me what makes the noise in SW

yeah i noticed that too a long time ago. Also during the Ark ceremony scene, the Nazis' cameras all explode and make some noise that are used from Empire Strikes back and Return of the jedi in scenes like the Carbonite scene and when the emperor shocks Luke

Ben Burtt did the sounds for SW and Indiana Jones.

    One other...

In Temple of Doom, when the airplane's engines crap out, it's the same sound as the Falcon's engines taking a dump in ESB. ;)

I was watching a film called The Hudsucker Proxy, and during a fight sequence inside one of a huge clock, one of the machine parts makes a sound exactly like the carbon freezing machine thingy in Empire Strikes Back. Has anybody else noticed this?
