[Sat Party] Celebration at Celebration III Tickets - Sold Out

Hmm,I still don't quite get what this event is exactly. Is it like a costume contest party? And what is this "live band"? It doesn't sound to SW-ish to me.

Btw,I don't think I'm gonna buy a ticket for it. It sounds fun,but I don't want to go quite enough to pay even $15 for it. I think I'll just let someone else who'de like to go more have that ticket.

How long do you all think these tickets will last? The breakfast tickets supposedly went quickly.

So... what's the difference between this and the FF/501/RL party??

I know it's different nights... but what's different?

 

One is officially endorsed by Lucasfilm and the other is run by fans.

 

Well, for one, it's probably going to be bigger. There's gonna be live music. There's other entertainment as well. It's put on by the Fan Club, I think. It's obviously more publicized than the 501/RL/FF party (just because it's on SW.com - they've got the marketing budget to do that).

Other than that... I dunno?

 

Well I am going and I got tickets for my girlfriend and friend too.

Well I am going to this event Saturday night and Friday night I am also attending the 501st party at the Hyatt ballroom.

I think I'll stick with the Indy Knights party. Will have to wait and see what the others in my group feel like doing. Sounds a little to corporate to me. The phrase "you can buy" was in the o.s release a little to much.

Well I know ASH did a song for Republic Commando.. which was kind of cool but somewhat heavy for the CIII crowd. One might guess that the live band may consist of an Cantina/Jabba's Place (Rebo Band) band that may play music from the movies afterall, the party has a Jabba theme. Live bands are certainly part of Star Wars.. well at least in the OT.. 2 out of the 3 movies have "live bands" in them.

 

I am so glad I missed out on the brekfast tix! This sounds like it's going to be loads more fun
And any party where Jabba suggests you wear a costume is too good to pass up!
