He did. He mentioned working with Forest Whitaker on Star Wars in an interview on Swedish radio last year.

Saw's inclusion makes sense because he's been an insurgent from the very beginning and has made for a reliable point of internal narrative friction. I don't need to see any of the other Rogue One characters. Let's use some restraint in cameo land.

Yeah I think Saw is one of the most interesting SW characters and I'm hoping his role in Andor is substantial. He makes for a great Antihero.

I agree BUT......I really wanna see Palps at the Imperial Senate. Just a line or two from McDiarmid please.

I also want that but I am fairly assured that the better story device is Sidious thinking so little of the Senate that he does not bother to attend.

Mas Amedda is likely the head honcho of the Imperial Senate.

The two main cameos i think we Will see is Mas Amedda and Grand Moff Tarkin as heads of the Empire. With Palpatine's shadow felt trough the show.

Mas Amedda will be spearheading quite a few things in the Imperial Senate.

Mas Amedda is one ofe the few underrated characters in Star wars. Clone wars tv show and Catalyst has done nore with him. And Bad Batch will see him return. Andor too.

I mean I doubt we see Jyn. We’ll see K2 of course at some point but of the original RO characters I think Him and K2 will be it

I think there will be some cameos this season, more in season 2. Hera and few Rebels cameos.

IT all leads to Rogue One and Hera was mentioned in Rogue One and Chopper were in Rogue One.

I'd like a heavy dose of the Rebel volunteers, but otherwise I agree with you. And General Draven, I would like to see as well.

I don't see much reason to doubt. We're getting Saw Gerrera, and she may have been with them at this point.

Jyn is 23 in Rogue One according to the official literature and she was 16 when Saw abandoned her so we won't see her in this production.

We’ll see. As those ages were never mentioned on screen, they could easily be altered if Gilroy wanted to.

This is the same year he abondons her, so it could happen. Yes and Jyn Erso is 21 in Rogue One, she was born early during the clone wars. The book Catalyst.

I could also see them just having someone in the cast encounter “Leana Halleck” on her own, and have someone make the connection to Saw’s favorite protege, and simply store that information away for later…

If Hera gets a cameo in the new Andor show, what's the problem? She already got a name drop in R1, after all.

I was being a bit hyperbolic. I enjoy the occasional cameo but too much is distracting; R1 was a little much with the cameos IMO, so I hope they reign it in a bit with Andor.
