Lg.Is, NY Sci-Fi Science Taping Friday 5/14 12:30pm NYC

I wasn't sure if you folks were aware of this, but they have been taping the TV show - Sci-Fi Science : Physics of the Impossible with Michio Kaku for the Science Channel in NYC. There is another taping on Friday 05/14/2010 at 11 AM in NYC. The details are below....

We will be filming the internationally-renowned physicist and co-founder of string field theory Professor Michio Kaku reveal his findings on the following subjects:

1. Alien Contact
2. How to Prevent an Alien Invasion

The event will be taking place on FRIDAY May 14th at 12:30pm - 5pm in NYC.

I can provide location details if you need them, please let me know (we were ask not to post them publicly). I attended every taping for season 1, and two so far this year for season 2. I'll be there in my Stormtrooper gear Friday, we have a really great time and we are all super sci-fi geeks.

Unfortunately I've been pretty sick the past few days, so I decided no to go either.

But this does sound like a lot of fun, and I would love to try to make it to one when I am feeling better.

 

The next 2 dates are both Fridays, June 4th and June 25th. It really is a blast, despite the 4 hours of waiting around.

 

Is anyone trying to make the one today, or the 25th? Hope to see you there.

 

Just an update folks, the June 25th date was canceled due to a confict with Michio's schedule. However, there will be one more taping this year on July 16th from 12-5pm. We are hoping to present Dr. Kaku with his 501st Honorary Friend Award and Badge at that taping.

I attended another taping on June 4th, 2010. This was for the 7th and 8th episodes of Season 2, and featured "How to Build a Starfighter" and "How to Travel Through a Black Hole". I answered a few questions in costume they will hopefully use on the show. There was a large turn out with around 50 Sci-Fi fans, with a few in costume. They had us stand outside the building and then tape the show and do the Q&A from about 2-5PM. The Second Season is expected to start airing in November or December of this year.
