Not to detract from the ever-popular New and Improved Super-Duper Costume and Props Thread on the RMFF board, but as we get moving more we'll end up needing a place to post the stuff we're working on, since the costume meeting thread will be mostly business.

Soooo...let's see whatcha got!

 

Does Chico already have dates set up for the workshops?

 

I really want to re-do my sith costume...its a little uncomfortable, and I want to be able to move in it, especially if Rav does do the impossible and teaches me to fight gracefully.

Also want to do some armor for it...leatherworking 101, here I come.

Some of the workshop ideas were leather and plastics, right?

If its too cold for plastics, maybe we can focus on leather?

They will have some leather costume pieces...so far I only have three...I'm thinking we need at least one more...what say you, Lord Zoom?

 

On the subject of Tuskens...when do you want to make a trip to Springs to look for fabric? Zac is going to try and score a wee piece tomorrow...do we want to start planning a shopping spree with all of your bountiful coupons?

'Tress, in reply from the other thread, Rancor keeper (Malikili) would be great. I got the body type for it! We'll see. I'm not even really sure about C3 yet, so you'll all have to sell me on the idea.

4 days of Star Wars-related chaos? That's not enough?

Actually, I'm kind of expecting to be a bit Star Warsed out by the end of day 2 (too much vanilla...not enough chocolate). If my ninja buddies come, we're planning on taking a day off to visit another ninja buddy in Chicago.

 

I need a total of four keepers...plenty of room for more, but I think four will do the trick.

I have all the patterns and instructions now for the Imp officer. I just need the cloth and the ability to sew. I am thinking of doing a mock up of the hat this weekend with muslin and liquid stitch.

 

Good luck. I still can't get that pattern to work out for me... I'm going to be going for a third try in a few weeks though...

JGoC...Yep. I checked around for the existing Conehead appliances, thinking that we could just use one of those, and...ummm...NO. LOL. Just need to figure out a time and place to get a cast of you and I can show you what needs to be done. Did you still want to do a Twi'lek, too?

 

JGoC...now that you're going to be closer, you should try to make it to one of our Wednesday night costuming sessions!

Zoom and RDT finished my head cast this week, its not as scary as I thought it would be.


Zoom...if you could let me borrow those pics we printed Tuesday, I could take em and make some color copies. My mom is interested in the project, and shes great at making patterns.

Got the twenty feet of butcher paper, too.
